16 But now ye glory in your vauntings: all such glorying is evil.
Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God `endureth' continually.
`As' clouds and wind without rain, `So is' he that boasteth himself of his gifts falsely.
Boast not thyself of tomorrow; For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.
And thou saidst, I shall be mistress for ever; so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end thereof. Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou hadst not received it? Already are ye filled, already ye are become rich, ye have come to reign without us: yea and I would that ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

Jam 4:11-17
In this part of the chapter,
