16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul; `But' he that is careless of his ways shall die.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: He that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
and whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing; but the keeping of the commandments of God.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and `that' your joy may be made full. This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him. Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
To such as keep his covenant, And to those that remember his precepts to do them.
For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?
but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.
`This is' the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole `duty' of man.
Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Thorns `and' snares are in the way of the perverse: He that keepeth his soul shall be far from them.
