7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;
Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh `him' families like a flock.
Jehovah maketh poor, and maketh rich: He bringeth low, he also lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, And inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's, And he hath set the world upon them.
So that he setteth up on high those that are low, And those that mourn are exalted to safety.
And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself therewith; and he sat among the ashes.
Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over my people, over Israel; and I have been with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a great name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.
He hath put down princes from `their' thrones, And hath exalted them of low degree. The hungry he hath filled with good things; And the rich he hath sent empty away.
which also after a true likeness doth now save you, `even' baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ; who is one the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly `places', far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
he foreseeing `this' spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Remove the mitre, and take off the crown; this `shall be' no more the same; exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it `him'.
And all the trees of the field shall know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.
Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is `as' the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
He preserveth not the life of the wicked, But giveth to the afflicted `their' right. He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: But with kings upon the throne He setteth them for ever, and they are exalted.
