10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear; because he is doing the Lord's work, even as I am:
But I am hoping in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you before long, so that I may be comforted when I have news of you. For I have no man of like mind who will truly have care for you. For they all go after what is theirs, not after the things of Christ. But his quality is clear to you; how, as a child is to its father, so he was a help to me in the work of the good news.

Chapter 16
In this chapter the apostle,
1Cr 16:1-4
In this chapter Paul closes this long epistle with some particular matters of less moment; but, as all was written by divine inspiration, it is all profitable for our instruction. He begins with directing them about a charitable collection on a particular occasion, the distresses and poverty of Christians in Judea, which at this time were extraordinary, partly through the general calamities of that nation and partly through the particular sufferings to which they were exposed.
