11 And let him be turned from evil and do good; searching for peace and going after it with all his heart.
Happy are the peacemakers: for they will be named sons of God.
Let your desire be for peace with all men, and to be made holy, without which no man may see the Lord;
Be turned from evil, and do good; make a search for peace, desiring it with all your heart.
For which reason, because we have righteousness through faith, let us be at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
So I see a law that, though I have a mind to do good, evil is present in me.
For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:
So then, let us go after the things which make peace, and the things by which we may be a help to one another.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith,
And let the peace of Christ be ruling in your hearts, as it was the purpose of God for you to be one body; and give praise to God at all times.
And to do good, having wealth in good works, being quick to give, taking part with one another;
But the wisdom which is from heaven is first holy, then gentle, readily giving way in argument, full of peace and mercy and good works, not doubting, not seeming other than it is. And the fruit of righteousness is planted in peace for those who make peace.
The man who has knowledge of how to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
And let us not be put to the test, but keep us safe from the Evil One.
So that you may be the sons of your Father in heaven; for his sun gives light to the evil and to the good, and he sends rain on the upright man and on the sinner.
And the Lord said to the Satan, Have you taken note of my servant Job, for there is no one like him on the earth, a man without sin and upright, fearing God and keeping himself far from evil? and he still keeps his righteousness, though you have been moving me to send destruction on him without cause.
And he said to man, Truly the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to keep from evil is the way to knowledge.
My soul has long been living with the haters of peace. I am for peace: but when I say so, they are for war.
Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart.
By mercy and good faith evil-doing is taken away: and by the fear of the Lord men are turned away from evil.
The highway of the upright is to be turned away from evil: he who takes care of his way will keep his soul.
To give light to those in dark places, and in the shade of death, so that our feet may be guided into the way of peace.
And Jesus said, I put the question to you, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to take it away?
For the good which I have a mind to do, I do not: but the evil which I have no mind to do, that I do.
Be washed, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; let there be an end of sinning; Take pleasure in well-doing; let your ways be upright, keep down the cruel, give a right decision for the child who has no father, see to the cause of the widow.

Commentary on 1 Peter 3 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 3
Wherein the apostle describes the duties of husbands and wives one to another, beginning with the duty of the wife (v. 1-7). He exhorts Christians to unity, love, compassion, peace, and patience under sufferings; to oppose the slanders of their enemies, not by returning evil for evil, or railing for railing, but by blessing; by a ready account of their faith and hope, and by keeping a good conscience (v. 8-17). To encourage them to this, he proposes the example of Christ, who suffered, the just for the unjust, but yet punished the old world for their disobedience, and saved the few who were faithful in the days of Noah (v. 18-22).
1Pe 3:1-7
The apostle having treated of the duties of subjects to their sovereigns, and of servants to their masters, proceeds to explain the duty of husbands and wives.
1Pe 3:8-15
The apostle here passes from special to more general exhortations.
1Pe 3:16-17
The confession of a Christian's faith cannot credibly be supported but by the two means here specified-a good conscience and a good conversation. conscience is good when it does its office well, when it is kept pure and uncorrupt, and clear from guilt; then it will justify you, though men accuse you. A good conversation in Christ is a holy life, according to the doctrine and example of Christ. "Look well to your conscience, and to your conversation; and then, though men speak evil of you, and falsely accuse you as evil-doers, you will clear yourselves, and bring them to shame. Perhaps you may think it hard to suffer for well-doing, for keeping a good conscience and a good conversation; but be not discouraged, for it is better for you, though worse for your enemies, that you suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.' Noah's salvation in the ark upon the water prefigured the salvation of all good Christians in the church by baptism; that temporal salvation by the ark was a type, the antitype whereunto is the eternal salvation of believers by baptism, to prevent mistakes about which the apostle,
