23 And someone said to him, Lord, will only a small number have salvation? And he said to them,
For narrow is the door and hard the road to life, and only a small number make discovery of it.
And the disciples, hearing this, were greatly surprised, saying, Who then may have salvation?
For out of all to whom the good news has come, only a small number will get salvation.
And while he was seated on the Mountain of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Make clear to us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world? And Jesus said to them in answer, Take care that you are not tricked. For people will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and a number will be turned from the true way through them.
And one of the people said to him, Master, give an order to my brother to make division of the heritage with me. But he said, Man, who made me a judge or a maker of decisions for you? And he said to them, Take care to keep yourselves free from the desire for property; for a man's life is not made up of the number of things which he has.
And they said to him, Master, when will these things be? and what sign will there be when these events are to take place? And he said, Take care that you are not tricked: for a number of people will come in my name, saying, I am he; and, The time is near: do not go after them.
And he said to them, It is not for you to have knowledge of the time and the order of events which the Father has kept in his control. But you will have power, when the Holy Spirit has come on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judaea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
