Psalms 139:22 Bible in Basic English (BBE)

22 My hate for them is complete; my thoughts of them are as if they were making war on me.

Cross Reference

Psalms 101:3-8 BBE

I will not put any evil thing before my eyes; I am against all turning to one side; I will not have it near me. The false heart I will send away from me: I will not have an evil-doer for a friend. I will put to death anyone who says evil of his neighbour secretly; the man with a high look and a heart of pride is disgusting to me. My eyes will be on those of good faith in the land, so that they may be living in my house; he who is walking in the right way will be my servant. The worker of deceit will not come into my house; the false man will have no place before my eyes. Morning by morning will I put to death all the sinners in the land, so that all evil-doers may be cut off from Jerusalem.

Luke 14:26 BBE

And turning round, he said to them, If any man comes to me, and has not hate for his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and even for his life, he may not be my disciple.

PSALM 139

Ps 139:1-24. After presenting the sublime doctrines of God's omnipresence and omniscience, the Psalmist appeals to Him, avowing his innocence, his abhorrence of the wicked, and his ready submission to the closest scrutiny. Admonition to the wicked and comfort to the pious are alike implied inferences from these doctrines.
