4 The Lord in heaven is stronger than the noise of great waters, yes, he is stronger than the great waves of the sea.
Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.
For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods?
And said, So far you may come, and no farther; and here the pride of your waves will be stopped?
Have you no fear of me? says the Lord; will you not be shaking with fear before me, who have put the sand as a limit for the sea, by an eternal order, so that it may not go past it? and though it is ever in motion, it is not able to have its way; though the sound of its waves is loud, they are not able to go past it.
And a great storm of wind came up, and the waves came into the boat, so that the boat was now becoming full. And he himself was in the back of the boat, sleeping on the cushion: and they, awaking him, said, Master, is it nothing to you that we are in danger of destruction? And he came out of his sleep, and gave strong orders to the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be at rest. And the wind went down, and there was a great calm.

PSALM 93
Ps 93:1-5. This and the six following Psalms were applied by the Jews to the times of the Messiah. The theme is God's supremacy in creation and providence.
1. God is described as a King entering on His reign, and, for robes of royalty, investing Himself with the glorious attributes of His nature. The result of His thus reigning is the durability of the world.
2-4. His underived power exceeds the most sublime exhibitions of the most powerful objects in nature (Ps 89:9).
5. While His power inspires dread, His revealed will should secure our confidence (compare Ps 19:7; 25:10), and thus fear and love combined, producing all holy emotions, should distinguish the worship we offer in His house, both earthly and heavenly.
