9 And when David knew that Saul devised mischief against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod.
And Jehovah hath given me knowledge, and I know [it]; then thou shewedst me their doings. And I was like a tame lamb [that] is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they devised devices against me, [saying,] Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
But Paul's sister's son, having heard of the lying in wait, came and entered into the fortress and reported [it] to Paul. And Paul, having called one of the centurions, said, Take this youth to the chiliarch, for he has something to report to him. He therefore, having taken him with [him], led him to the chiliarch, and says, The prisoner Paul called me to [him] and asked me to lead this youth to thee, who has something to say to thee.
