7 For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, and of love, and of wise discretion.
For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has torment, and he that fears has not been made perfect in love.
but ye will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,
He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; [he] is a shield to them that walk in integrity;
Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.
And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but do ye remain in the city till ye be clothed with power from on high.
Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently;
Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, that I be not ashamed.
And Stephen, full of grace and power, wrought wonders and great signs among the people.
who has also manifested to us your love in [the] Spirit.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am intelligence; I have strength.
And they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting, clothed and sensible, at the feet of Jesus. And they were afraid.
But I make no account of [my] life [as] dear to myself, so that I finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the glad tidings of the grace of God.
Jesus who [was] of Nazareth: how God anointed him with [the] Holy Spirit and with power; who went through [all quarters] doing good, and healing all that were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
But Paul said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter words of truth and soberness;
For whether we are beside ourselves, [it is] to God; or are sober, [it is] for you. For the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, then all have died;
And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have abundance of bread, and *I* perish here by famine.
