14 Having therefore a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.
where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.
looking stedfastly on Jesus the leader and completer of faith: who, in view of the joy lying before him, endured [the] cross, having despised [the] shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For the Christ is not entered into holy places made with hand, figures of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:
Now a summary of the things of which we are speaking [is], We have such a one high priest who has sat down on [the] right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens;
at the end of these days has spoken to us in [the person of the] Son, whom he has established heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being [the] effulgence of his glory and [the] expression of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made [by himself] the purification of sins, set himself down on the right hand of the greatness on high,
He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them. For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and become higher than the heavens:
nor by blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, has entered in once for all into the [holy of] holies, having found an eternal redemption.
For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;
And Moses indeed [was] faithful in all his house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken after; but Christ, as Son over his house, whose house are *we*, if indeed we hold fast the boldness and the boast of hope firm to the end.
For this reason we should give heed more abundantly to the things [we have] heard, lest in any way we should slip away.
but as to the Son, Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age, and a sceptre of uprightness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.
whom heaven indeed must receive till [the] times of [the] restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began.
Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;
And it came to pass as he was blessing them, he was separated from them and was carried up into heaven.

The apostle, having in the foregoing chapter set forth the sin and punishment of the ancient Jews, proceeds in this,
Hbr 4:1-10
Here,
Hbr 4:11-16
In this latter part of the chapter the apostle concludes, first, with a serious repeated exhortation, and then with proper and powerful motives.
