7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou to him? or what doth he receive of thy hand?
Can a man be profitable to ùGod? surely it is unto himself that the wise man is profitable. Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if thou art righteous? And is it gain [to him] that thou makest thy ways perfect?
If thou art wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; and if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Thus *ye* also, when ye shall have done all things that have been ordered you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it was our duty to do.
Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; --

Chapter 35
Job being still silent, Elihu follows his blow, and here, a third time, undertakes to show him that he had spoken amiss, and ought to recant. Three improper sayings he here charges him with, and returns answer to them distinctly:-
