8 The wind blows where it will, and thou hearest its voice, but knowest not whence it comes and where it goes: thus is every one that is born of the Spirit.
For who of men hath known the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? thus also the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God.
But all these things operates the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each in particular according as he pleases.
He that observeth the wind will not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds will not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, how the bones [grow] in the womb of her that is with child, even so thou knowest not the work of God who maketh all.
And he said, Thus is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast the seed upon the earth, and should sleep and rise up night and day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he does not know how. The earth bears fruit of itself, first [the] blade, then an ear, then full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is produced, immediately he sends the sickle, for the harvest is come.
And he said unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
He that practises sin is of the devil; for from [the] beginning the devil sins. To this end the Son of God has been manifested, that he might undo the works of the devil. Whoever has been begotten of God does not practise sin, because his seed abides in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been begotten of God.
If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.
who have been born, not of blood, nor of flesh's will, nor of man's will, but of God.
For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall do that which I please, and it shall accomplish that for which I send it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress, and instead of the nettle shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.
He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
And now [men] see not the light as it gleameth, it is [hidden] in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them. From the north cometh gold; with +God is terrible majesty. The Almighty, we cannot find him out: excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice, he doth not afflict.
By the breath of ùGod ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened. Also with plentiful moisture he loadeth the thick clouds, his light dispels the cloud; And they are turned every way by his guidance, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the circuit of the earth, Whether he cause it to come as a rod, or for his land, or in mercy.
