1 Samson went down to Timnah, and at Timnah he saw one of the daughters of the Philistines.
and the border turned from Baalah westwards toward mount Seir, and passed toward the side of Har-jearim, that is, Chesalon, northwards, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed Timnah.
And Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and humbled her.
And as the days were multiplied, Judah's wife, the daughter of Shua, died. And Judah was comforted, and he went up to his sheep-shearers, to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite. And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.
I made a covenant with mine eyes; and how should I fix my regard upon a maid?
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; quicken me in thy way.
