13 Then Micah said, "Now I know that the LORD will prosper me, because I have a Levite as priest."
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
He feedeth on ashes; a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
He that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [it is as] swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, [is as] he that blesseth an idol. *I* indeed myself thought that I ought to do much against the name of Jesus the Nazaraean.

But it is cast here into the latter part of the book that it might not interrupt the history of the Judges. That it might appear how happy the nation was in the judges it is here shown how unhappy they were when there was none.
