17 And as he said these things, all who were opposed to him were ashamed; and all the crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things which were being done by him.
having a good conscience, that [as to that] in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may be ashamed who calumniate your good conversation in Christ.
His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
And as he drew near, already at the descent of the mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began, rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice for all the works of power which they had seen, saying, Blessed the King that comes in the name of [the] Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples. And he answering said to them, I say unto you, If these shall be silent, the stones will cry out.
But they shall not advance farther; for their folly shall be completely manifest to all, as that of those also became.
But they, having further threatened them, let them go, finding no way how they might punish them, on account of the people, because all glorified God for what had taken place;
And all the people saw him walking and praising God; and they recognised him, that it was *he* who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico which is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
The crowd therefore that was with him bore witness because he had called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from among [the] dead. Therefore also the crowd met him because they had heard that he had done this sign.
Who is like unto thee, Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like unto thee, glorifying thyself in holiness, Fearful [in] praises, doing wonders?
And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw [it] gave praise to God.
Only in Jehovah, shall one say, have I righteousness and strength. To him shall [men] come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
In that day there shall be a sprout of Jehovah for beauty and glory, and the fruit of the earth for excellency and for ornament for those that are escaped of Israel.
Let mine adversaries be clothed with confusion, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.
