50 Salt [is] good, but if the salt is become saltless, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.
[Let] your word [be] always with grace, seasoned with salt, [so as] to know how ye ought to answer each one.
if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;
*Ye* are the salt of the earth; but if the salt have become insipid, wherewith shall it be salted? It is no longer fit for anything but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot by men.
Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:
Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if [there be] any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear [it].
Salt [then] [is] good, but if the salt also has become savourless, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is proper neither for land nor for dung; it is cast out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
But youthful lusts flee, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those that call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
Finally, [be] all of one mind, sympathising, full of brotherly love, tender hearted, humble minded;
but if ye have bitter emulation and strife in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This is not the wisdom which comes down from above, but earthly, natural, devilish. For where emulation and strife [are], there [is] disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above first is pure, then peaceful, gentle, yielding, full of mercy and good fruits, unquestioning, unfeigned. But [the] fruit of righteousness in peace is sown for them that make peace.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
If then [there be] any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of [the] Spirit, if any bowels and compassions, fulfil my joy, that ye may think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking one thing; [let] nothing [be] in the spirit of strife or vain glory, but, in lowliness of mind, each esteeming the other as more excellent than themselves;
Only conduct yourselves worthily of the glad tidings of the Christ, in order that whether coming and seeing you, or absent, I may hear of what concerns you, that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul, labouring together in the same conflict with the faith of the glad tidings;
with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love; using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace. [There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in [the] Holy Spirit. For he that in this serves the Christ [is] acceptable to God and approved of men. So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.
These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, know that it has hated me before you.
And they remained silent, for by the way they had been reasoning with one another who [was] greatest.

We have here the story of Christ casting the devil out of a child, somewhat more fully related than it was in Mt. 17:14, etc. Observe here,

Mar 9:41-50
Here,
The two last verses are somewhat difficult, and interpreters agree not in the sense of them; for every one in general, or rather every one of them that are cast into hell, shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Therefore have salt in yourselves.
