18 And he said, Go into the city unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near, I will keep the passover in thy house with my disciples.
Jesus therefore says to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.
They sought therefore to take him; and no one laid his hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.
Ye, go ye up to this feast. I go not up to this feast, for *my* time is not yet fulfilled.
When I was day by day with you in the temple ye did not stretch out your hands against me; but this is your hour and the power of darkness.
And he sends two of his disciples, and says to them, Go into the city, and a man shall meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. And wheresoever he enters, say to the master of the house, The Teacher says, Where is my guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples? and *he* will shew you a large upper room furnished ready. There make ready for us. And his disciples went away and came into the city, and found as he had said to them; and they made ready the passover.
And he said to them, Behold, as ye enter into the city a man will meet you, carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in; and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples? And *he* will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. And having gone they found it as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.
While he was yet speaking, they come from the ruler of the synagogue's [house], saying, Thy daughter has died, why troublest thou the teacher any further?
Neither be called instructors, for one is your instructor, the Christ.
But *ye*, be not ye called Rabbi; for one is your instructor, and all *ye* are brethren.
