1 Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
He deviseth wickedness up on his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good: he abhorreth not evil.
Out of thee is gone forth one that imagineth evil against Jehovah, a wicked counsellor.
For they have applied their heart like an oven to their lying in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth like a flaming fire. They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.
It would be in the power of my hand to do you hurt; but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, Take care that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought the same hour to lay hands on him, and they feared the people; for they knew that he had spoken this parable of them.
Now therefore do ye with the council make a representation to the chiliarch so that he may bring him down to you, as about to determine more precisely what concerns him, and we, before he draws near, are ready to kill him.
And when it was day, the Jews, having banded together, put themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they should kill Paul.
and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariote, being of the number of the twelve. And he went away and spoke with the chief priests and captains as to how he should deliver him up to them. And they were rejoiced, and agreed to give him money. And he came to an agreement to do it, and sought an opportunity to deliver him up to them away from the crowd.
And Haman said to king Ahasuerus, There is a people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from [those of] every people, and they keep not the king's laws; and it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.
And when it was morning all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus so that they might put him to death. And having bound him they led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.
And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and give wicked counsel in this city:
For your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips speak lies, your tongue muttereth unrighteousness:
A good [man] obtaineth favour of Jehovah; but a man of mischievous devices will he condemn.
A man of Belial, a wicked person, is he that goeth about with a perverse mouth; he winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; deceits are in his heart; he deviseth mischief at all times, he soweth discords. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly: in a moment shall he be broken, and without remedy. These six [things] doth Jehovah hate, yea, seven are an abomination unto him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations; feet that are swift in running to mischief; a false witness that uttereth lies, and he that soweth discords among brethren.
For they sleep not except they have done mischief, and their sleep is taken away unless they have caused [some] to fall.
{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Free me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man: Who devise mischiefs in [their] heart; every day are they banded together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked [man], preserve me from the violent man, who devise to overthrow my steps. The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way-side; they have set traps for me. Selah. I have said unto Jehovah, Thou art my ùGod: give ear, O Jehovah, to the voice of my supplications. Jehovah, the Lord, is the strength of my salvation: thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O Jehovah, the desire of the wicked; further not his device: they would exalt themselves. Selah.
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood: He digged a pit, and hollowed it out, and is fallen into the hole that he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate.
and when [Esther] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he had devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head; and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.
Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends to him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and in the morning speak to the king that Mordecai may be hanged on it: then go in merrily with the king to the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

Commentary on Micah 2 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 2
In this chapter we have,
And this is the sum and scope of most of the chapters of this and other prophecies.
Mic 2:1-5
Here is,
Mic 2:6-11
Here are two sins charged upon the people of Israel, and judgments denounced against them for each, such judgments as exactly answer the sin-persecuting God's prophets and oppressing God's poor.
Mic 2:12-13
After threatenings of wrath, the chapter here concludes, as is usual in the prophets, with promises of mercy, which were in part fulfilled when the Jews returned out of Babylon, and had their full accomplishment in the kingdom of the Messiah. Their grievances shall be all redressed.
