With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Who [is] wise and understanding among you; let him shew out of a good conversation his works in meekness of wisdom;
Only conduct yourselves worthily of the glad tidings of the Christ, in order that whether coming and seeing you, or absent, I may hear of what concerns you, that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul, labouring together in the same conflict with the faith of the glad tidings;
Brethren, sons of Abraham's race, and those who among you fear God, to you has the word of this salvation been sent:
who shall speak words to thee whereby *thou* shalt be saved, thou and all thy house.
pious, and fearing God with all his house, [both] giving much alms to the people, and supplicating God continually, -- saw plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming unto him, and saying to him, Cornelius. But he, having fixed his eyes upon him, and become full of fear, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have gone up for a memorial before God.
Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
