32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished.
32 verily I say to you -- This generation may not pass away till all may have come to pass;
32 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall in no wise pass away until all come to pass.
32 Most assuredly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.
32 Truly I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all things are complete.
That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

Having given them an idea of the times for about thirty-eight years next ensuing, he here comes to show them what all those things would issue in at last, namely, the destruction of Jerusalem, and the utter dispersion of the Jewish nation, which would be a little day of judgment, a type and figure of Christ's second coming, which was not so fully spoken of here as in the parallel place (Mt. 24), yet glanced at; for the destruction of Jerusalem would be as it were the destruction of the world to those whose hearts were bound up in it.
