11 Now G1161 all G3956 these things G5023 happened G4819 unto them G1565 for ensamples: G5179 and G1161 they are written G1125 for G4314 our G2257 admonition, G3559 upon G1519 whom G3739 the ends G5056 of the world G165 are come. G2658
For G1063 whatsoever things G3745 were written aforetime G4270 were written G4270 for G1519 our G2251 learning, G1319 that G2443 we G2192 through G1223 patience G5281 and G2532 comfort G3874 of the scriptures G1124 might have G2192 hope. G1680
Or G2228 saith he G3004 it altogether G3843 for G1223 our G2248 sakes? G1223 For G1223 our G2248 sakes, G1223 no doubt, G1063 this is written: G1125 that G3754 he that ploweth G722 should G3784 plow G722 in G1909 hope; G1680 and G2532 that he that thresheth G248 in hope G1680 should be partaker G3348 of G1909 his G846 hope. G1680
Let G1097 your G5216 moderation G1933 be known G1097 unto all G3956 men. G444 The Lord G2962 is at hand. G1451
Little children, G3813 it is G2076 the last G2078 time: G5610 and G2532 as G2531 ye have heard G191 that G3754 antichrist G500 shall come, G2064 even G2532 now G3568 are there G1096 many G4183 antichrists; G500 whereby G3606 we know G1097 that G3754 it is G2076 the last G2078 time. G5610
But G1161 this G5124 I say, G5346 brethren, G80 the time G2540 is short: G4958 it remaineth, G2076 G3063 that G2443 both G2532 they that have G2192 wives G1135 be G5600 as though G5613 they had G2192 none; G3361

We must not do as they did, lest we suffer as they suffered.
1Cr 10:15-22
In this passage the apostle urges the general caution against idolatry, in the particular case of eating the heathen sacrifices as such, and out of any religious respect to the idol to whom they were sacrificed.
