32 For the saying H1697 which he cried H7121 by the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 against the altar H4196 in Bethel, H1008 and against all the houses H1004 of the high places H1116 which are in the cities H5892 of Samaria, H8111 shall surely come to pass.
And he bought H7069 the hill H2022 Samaria H8111 of Shemer H8106 for two talents H3603 of silver, H3701 and built H1129 on the hill, H2022 and called H7121 the name H8034 of the city H5892 which he built, H1129 after the name H8034 of Shemer, H8106 owner H113 of the hill, H2022 Samaria. H8111
And he cried H7121 against the altar H4196 in the word H1697 of the LORD, H3068 and said, H559 O altar, H4196 altar, H4196 thus saith H559 the LORD; H3068 Behold, a child H1121 shall be born H3205 unto the house H1004 of David, H1732 Josiah H2977 by name; H8034 and upon thee shall he offer H2076 the priests H3548 of the high places H1116 that burn incense H6999 upon thee, and men's H120 bones H6106 shall be burnt H8313 upon thee.
And he made H6213 an house H1004 of high places, H1116 and made H6213 priests H3548 of the lowest H7098 of the people, H5971 which were not of the sons H1121 of Levi. H3878
And as Josiah H2977 turned H6437 himself, he spied H7200 the sepulchres H6913 that were there in the mount, H2022 and sent, H7971 and took H3947 the bones H6106 out of the sepulchres, H6913 and burned H8313 them upon the altar, H4196 and polluted H2930 it, according to the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 which the man H376 of God H430 proclaimed, H7121 who proclaimed H7121 these words. H1697 Then he said, H559 What title H6725 is that H1975 that I see? H7200 And the men H582 of the city H5892 told H559 him, It is the sepulchre H6913 of the man H376 of God, H430 which came H935 from Judah, H3063 and proclaimed H7121 these things H1697 that thou hast done H6213 against the altar H4196 of Bethel. H1008 And he said, H559 Let him alone; H3240 let no man H376 move H5128 his bones. H6106 So they let his bones H6106 alone, H4422 with the bones H6106 of the prophet H5030 that came out H935 of Samaria. H8111 And all the houses H1004 also of the high places H1116 that were in the cities H5892 of Samaria, H8111 which the kings H4428 of Israel H3478 had made H6213 to provoke the LORD to anger, H3707 Josiah H2977 took away, H5493 and did H6213 to them according to all the acts H4639 that he had done H6213 in Bethel. H1008
But the soldiers H1121 of the army H1416 which Amaziah H558 sent back, H7725 that they should not go H3212 with him to battle, H4421 fell H6584 upon the cities H5892 of Judah, H3063 from Samaria H8111 even unto Bethhoron, H1032 and smote H5221 three H7969 thousand H505 of them, and took H962 much H7227 spoil. H961
And the rest H7606 of the nations H524 whom H1768 the great H7229 and noble H3358 Asnappar H620 brought over, H1541 and set H3488 H1994 in the cities H7149 of Samaria, H8115 and the rest H7606 that are on this side H5675 the river, H5103 and at such a time. H3706

Commentary on 1 Kings 13 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 13
In the close of the foregoing chapter we left Jeroboam attending his altar at Beth-el, and there we find him in the beginning of this, when he received a testimony from God against his idolatry and apostasy. This was sent to him by a prophet, a man of God that lived in Judah, who is the principal subject of the story of this chapter, where we are told,

1Ki 13:11-22
The man of God had honestly and resolutely refused the king's invitation, though he promised him a reward; yet he was over-persuaded by an old prophet to come back with him, and dine in Beth-el, contrary to the command given him. Here we find how dearly his dinner cost him. Observe with wonder,
