2 And now, behold, the king H4428 walketh H1980 before H6440 you: and I am old H2204 and grayheaded; H7867 and, behold, my sons H1121 are with you: and I have walked H1980 before H6440 you from my childhood H5271 unto this day. H3117
And said H559 unto him, Behold, thou art old, H2204 and thy sons H1121 walk H1980 not in thy ways: H1870 now make H7760 us a king H4428 to judge H8199 us like all the nations. H1471
Which may go out H3318 before H6440 them, and which may go in H935 before H6440 them, and which may lead them out, H3318 and which may bring them in; H935 that the congregation H5712 of the LORD H3068 be not as sheep H6629 which have no shepherd. H7462
And Samuel H8050 grew, H1431 and the LORD H3068 was with him, and did let none of his words H1697 fall H5307 to the ground. H776 And all Israel H3478 from Dan H1835 even to Beersheba H884 knew H3045 that Samuel H8050 was established H539 to be a prophet H5030 of the LORD. H3068
Now Eli H5941 was very H3966 old, H2204 and heard H8085 all that his sons H1121 did H6213 unto all Israel; H3478 and how they lay H7901 with the women H802 that assembled H6633 at the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150
Wherefore kick H1163 ye at my sacrifice H2077 and at mine offering, H4503 which I have commanded H6680 in my habitation; H4583 and honourest H3513 thy sons H1121 above me, to make yourselves fat H1254 with the chiefest H7225 of all the offerings H4503 of Israel H3478 my people? H5971
Then Eli H5941 called H7121 Samuel, H8050 and said, H559 Samuel, H8050 my son. H1121 And he answered, H559 Here am I.
Now also when H5704 I am old H2209 and grayheaded, H7872 O God, H430 forsake H5800 me not; until I have shewed H5046 thy strength H2220 unto this generation, H1755 and thy power H1369 to every one that is to come. H935
Hearken H8085 unto me, O house H1004 of Jacob, H3290 and all the remnant H7611 of the house H1004 of Israel, H3478 which are borne H6006 by me from the belly, H990 which are carried H5375 from the womb: H7356 And even to your old age H2209 I am he; and even to hoar hairs H7872 will I carry H5445 you: I have made, H6213 and I will bear; H5375 even I will carry, H5445 and will deliver H4422 you.
