12 Then Samuel H8050 took H3947 a H259 stone, H68 and set H7760 it between Mizpeh H4709 and Shen, H8129 and called H7121 the name H8034 of it Ebenezer, H72 saying, H559 Hitherto hath the LORD H3068 helped H5826 us.
And Joshua H3091 set up H6965 twelve H8147 H6240 stones H68 in the midst H8432 of Jordan, H3383 in the place where the feet H7272 of the priests H3548 which bare H5375 the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 stood: H4673 and they are there unto this day. H3117
And Jacob H3290 set up H5324 a pillar H4676 in the place H4725 where he talked H1696 with him, even a pillar H4678 of stone: H68 and he poured H5258 a drink offering H5262 thereon, and he poured H3332 oil H8081 thereon.
And Jacob H3290 took H3947 a stone, H68 and set it up H7311 for a pillar. H4676 And Jacob H3290 said H559 unto his brethren, H251 Gather H3950 stones; H68 and they took H3947 stones, H68 and made H6213 an heap: H1530 and they did eat H398 there upon the heap. H1530 And Laban H3837 called H7121 it Jegarsahadutha: H3026 but Jacob H3290 called H7121 it Galeed. H1567 And Laban H3837 said, H559 This heap H1530 is a witness H5707 between me and thee this day. H3117 Therefore was the name H8034 of it called H7121 Galeed; H1567 And Mizpah; H4709 for H834 he said, H559 The LORD H3068 watch H6822 between me and thee, when we are absent H5641 one H376 from another. H7453 If thou shalt afflict H6031 my daughters, H1323 or if thou shalt take H3947 other wives H802 beside H5921 my daughters, H1323 no man H376 is with us; see, H7200 God H430 is witness H5707 betwixt me and thee. And Laban H3837 said H559 to Jacob, H3290 Behold this heap, H1530 and behold this pillar, H4676 which I have cast H3384 betwixt me and thee; This heap H1530 be witness, H5707 and this pillar H4676 be witness, H5713 that I will not pass over H5674 this heap H1530 to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over H5674 this heap H1530 and this pillar H4676 unto me, for harm. H7451
And the Philistines H6430 took H3947 the ark H727 of God, H430 and brought H935 it from Ebenezer H72 unto Ashdod. H795
Having G5177 therefore G3767 obtained G5177 help G1947 of G3844 God, G2316 I continue G2476 unto G891 this G5026 day, G2250 witnessing G3140 both G5037 to small G3398 and G2532 great, G3173 saying G3004 none other things G3762 than G1622 those which G3739 G5037 the prophets G4396 and G2532 Moses G3475 did say G2980 should G3195 come: G1096
Who G3739 delivered G4506 us G2248 from G1537 so great G5082 a death, G2288 and G2532 doth deliver: G4506 in G1519 whom G3739 we trust G1679 that G3754 he will G4506 G2532 yet G2089 deliver G4506 us;
And Abraham H85 called H7121 the name H8034 of that place H4725 Jehovahjireh: H3070 as H834 it is said H559 to this day, H3117 In the mount H2022 of the LORD H3068 it shall be seen. H7200
And Jacob H3290 rose up early H7925 in the morning, H1242 and took H3947 the stone H68 that he had put H7760 for his pillows, H4763 and set it up H7760 for a pillar, H4676 and poured H3332 oil H8081 upon the top of it. H7218 And he called H7121 the name H8034 of that place H4725 Bethel: H1008 but H199 the name H8034 of that city H5892 was called Luz H3870 at the first. H7223
And Moses H4872 built H1129 an altar, H4196 and called H7121 the name H8034 of it Jehovahnissi: H3071
And Joshua H3091 wrote H3789 these words H1697 in the book H5612 of the law H8451 of God, H430 and took H3947 a great H1419 stone, H68 and set it up H6965 there under an oak, H427 that was by the sanctuary H4720 of the LORD. H3068 And Joshua H3091 said H559 unto all the people, H5971 Behold, this stone H68 shall be a witness H5713 unto us; for it hath heard H8085 all the words H561 of the LORD H3068 which he spake H1696 unto us: it shall be therefore a witness H5713 unto you, lest ye deny H3584 your God. H430
By thee have I been holden up H5564 from the womb: H990 thou art he that took H1491 me out of my mother's H517 bowels: H4578 my praise H8416 shall be continually H8548 of thee.
In that day H3117 shall there be an altar H4196 to the LORD H3068 in the midst H8432 of the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 and a pillar H4676 at H681 the border H1366 thereof to the LORD. H3068
Hearken H8085 unto me, O house H1004 of Jacob, H3290 and all the remnant H7611 of the house H1004 of Israel, H3478 which are borne H6006 by me from the belly, H990 which are carried H5375 from the womb: H7356 And even to your old age H2209 I am he; and even to hoar hairs H7872 will I carry H5445 you: I have made, H6213 and I will bear; H5375 even I will carry, H5445 and will deliver H4422 you.

Commentary on 1 Samuel 7 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 7
In this chapter we have,
1Sa 7:1-2
Here we must attend the ark to Kirjath-jearim, and then leave it there, to hear not a word more of it except once (ch. 14:18), till David fetched it thence, about forty years after, 1 Chr. 13:6.
1Sa 7:3-6
We may well wonder where Samuel was and what he was doing all this while, for we have not had him so much as named till now, since ch. 4:1, not as if he were unconcerned, but his labours among his people are not mentioned till there appears the fruit of them. When he perceived that they began to lament after the Lord he struck while the iron was hot, and two things he endeavoured to do for them, as a faithful servant of God and a faithful friend to the Israel of God:-
1Sa 7:7-12
Here,
1Sa 7:13-17
We have here a short account of the further good services that Samuel did to Israel. Having parted them from their idols, and brought them home to their God, he had put them into a capacity of receiving further benefits by his ministry. Having prevailed in that, he becomes, in other instances, a great blessing to them; yet, writing it himself, he is brief in the relation. We are not told here, but it appears (2 Chr. 35:18) that in the days of Samuel the prophet the people of Israel kept the ordinance of the passover with more than ordinary devotion, notwithstanding the distance of the ark and the desolations of Shiloh. Many good offices, no doubt, he did for Israel, but here we are only told how instrumental he was,
