10 And said, G2036 O G5599 full G4134 of all G3956 subtilty G1388 and G2532 all G3956 mischief, G4468 thou child G5207 of the devil, G1228 thou enemy G2190 of all G3956 righteousness, G1343 wilt thou G3973 not G3756 cease G3973 to pervert G1294 the right G2117 ways G3598 of the Lord? G2962
G1161 The field G68 is G2076 the world; G2889 G1161 the good G2570 seed G4690 are G3778 G1526 the children G5207 of the kingdom; G932 but G1161 the tares G2215 are G1526 the children G5207 of the wicked G4190 one;
Who is wise, H2450 and he shall understand H995 these things? prudent, H995 and he shall know H3045 them? for the ways H1870 of the LORD H3068 are right, H3477 and the just H6662 shall walk H3212 in them: but the transgressors H6586 shall fall H3782 therein.
Ye G5210 are G2075 of G1537 your father G3962 the devil, G1228 and G2532 the lusts G1939 of your G5216 father G3962 ye will G2309 do. G4160 He G1565 was G2258 a murderer G443 from G575 the beginning, G746 and G2532 abode G2476 not G3756 in G1722 the truth, G225 because G3754 there is G2076 no G3756 truth G225 in G1722 him. G846 When G3752 he speaketh G2980 a lie, G5579 he speaketh G2980 of G1537 his own: G2398 for G3754 he is G2076 a liar, G5583 and G2532 the father G3962 of it. G846
This man G3778 was G2258 instructed in G2727 the way G3598 of the Lord; G2962 and G2532 being fervent G2204 in the spirit, G4151 he spake G2980 and G2532 taught G1321 diligently G199 the things of G4012 the Lord, G2962 knowing G1987 only G3440 the baptism G908 of John. G2491 And G5037 he G3778 began G756 to speak boldly G3955 in G1722 the synagogue: G4864 whom G846 when G1161 Aquila G207 and G2532 Priscilla G4252 had heard, G191 they took G4355 him G846 unto them, and G2532 expounded G1620 unto him G846 the way G3598 of God G2316 more perfectly. G197
Woe G3759 unto you, G5213 lawyers! G3544 for G3754 ye have taken away G142 the key G2807 of knowledge: G1108 ye entered G1525 not G3756 in G1525 yourselves, G846 and G2532 them that were entering in G1525 ye hindered. G2967
But G1161 Peter G4074 said G2036 unto G4314 him, G846 Thy G4675 money G694 perish G1498 G1519 G684 with G4862 thee, G4671 because G3754 thou hast thought G3543 that the gift G1431 of God G2316 may be purchased G2932 with G1223 money. G5536 Thou G4671 hast G2076 neither G3756 part G3310 nor G3761 lot G2819 in G1722 this G5129 matter: G3056 for G1063 thy G4675 heart G2588 is G2076 not G3756 right G2117 in the sight G1799 of God. G2316 Repent G3340 therefore G3767 of G575 this G5026 thy G4675 wickedness, G2549 and G2532 pray G1189 God, G2316 if G1487 perhaps G686 the thought G1963 of thine G4675 heart G2588 may be forgiven G863 thee. G4671 For G1063 I perceive G3708 that thou G4571 art G5607 in G1519 the gall G5521 of bitterness, G4088 and G2532 in the bond G4886 of iniquity. G93
He that committeth G4160 sin G266 is G2076 of G1537 the devil; G1228 for G3754 the devil G1228 sinneth G264 from G575 the beginning. G746 For G1519 this purpose G5124 the Son G5207 of God G2316 was manifested, G5319 that G2443 he might destroy G3089 the works G2041 of the devil. G1228
But G1161 I fear, G5399 lest G3381 by any means, G4458 as G5613 the serpent G3789 beguiled G1818 Eve G2096 through G1722 his G846 subtilty, G3834 so G3779 your G5216 minds G3540 should be corrupted G5351 from G575 the simplicity G572 that is in G1519 Christ. G5547
He said, G5346 I G1473 am the voice G5456 of one crying G994 in G1722 the wilderness, G2048 Make straight G2116 the way G3598 of the Lord, G2962 as G2531 said G2036 the prophet G4396 Esaias. G2268
And G1161 the Lord G2962 said G2036 unto G4314 him, G846 Now G3568 do G2511 ye G5210 Pharisees G5330 make clean G2511 the outside G1855 of the cup G4221 and G2532 the platter; G4094 but G1161 your G5216 inward part G2081 is full G1073 of ravening G724 and G2532 wickedness. G4189
Woe G3759 unto you, G5213 scribes G1122 and G2532 Pharisees, G5330 hypocrites! G5273 for G3754 ye make clean G2511 the outside G1855 of the cup G4221 and G2532 of the platter, G3953 but G1161 within G2081 they are full G1073 of G1537 extortion G724 and G2532 excess. G192 Thou blind G5185 Pharisee, G5330 cleanse G2511 first G4412 that which is within G1787 the cup G4221 and G2532 platter, G3953 that G2443 the outside G1622 of them G846 may be G1096 clean G2513 also. G2532 Woe G3759 unto you, G5213 scribes G1122 and G2532 Pharisees, G5330 hypocrites! G5273 for G3754 ye are like G3945 unto whited G2867 sepulchres, G5028 which G3748 indeed G3303 appear G5316 beautiful G5611 outward, G1855 but G1161 are within G2081 full G1073 of dead G3498 men's bones, G3747 and G2532 of all G3956 uncleanness. G167 Even so G3779 ye G5210 also G2532 G3303 outwardly G1855 appear G5316 righteous G1342 unto men, G444 but G1161 within G2081 ye are G2075 full G3324 of hypocrisy G5272 and G2532 iniquity. G458 Woe G3759 unto you, G5213 scribes G1122 and G2532 Pharisees, G5330 hypocrites! G5273 because G3754 ye build G3618 the tombs G5028 of the prophets, G4396 and G2532 garnish G2885 the sepulchres G3419 of the righteous, G1342 And G2532 say, G3004 If G1487 we had been G2258 in G1722 the days G2250 of our G2257 fathers, G3962 we would G302 not G3756 have been G2258 partakers G2844 with them G846 in G1722 the blood G129 of the prophets. G4396 Wherefore G5620 ye be witnesses G3140 unto yourselves, G1438 that G3754 ye are G2075 the children G5207 of them which killed G5407 the prophets. G4396 Fill G4137 ye G5210 up G4137 then G2532 the measure G3358 of your G5216 fathers. G3962 Ye serpents, G3789 ye generation G1081 of vipers, G2191 how G4459 can ye G5343 escape G575 the damnation G2920 of hell? G1067
But G1161 woe G3759 unto you, G5213 scribes G1122 and G2532 Pharisees, G5330 hypocrites! G5273 for G3754 ye shut up G2808 the kingdom G932 of heaven G3772 against G1715 men: G444 for G1063 ye G5210 neither G3761 go in G1525 yourselves, neither G3756 suffer ye G863 them that are entering G1525 to go in. G1525
For G1063 out of G1537 the heart G2588 proceed G1831 evil G4190 thoughts, G1261 murders, G5408 adulteries, G3430 fornications, G4202 thefts, G2829 false witness, G5577 blasphemies: G988
But G1161 when he saw G1492 many G4183 of the Pharisees G5330 and G2532 Sadducees G4523 come G2064 to G1909 his G846 baptism, G908 he said G2036 unto them, G846 O generation G1081 of vipers, G2191 who G5101 hath warned G5263 you G5213 to flee G5343 from G575 the wrath G3709 to come? G3195
And the burden H4853 of the LORD H3068 shall ye mention H2142 no more: for every man's H376 word H1697 shall be his burden; H4853 for ye have perverted H2015 the words H1697 of the living H2416 God, H430 of the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 our God. H430
This is an evil H7451 among all things that are done H6213 under the sun, H8121 that there is one H259 event H4745 unto all: yea, also the heart H3820 of the sons H1121 of men H120 is full H4390 of evil, H7451 and madness H1947 is in their heart H3824 while they live, H2416 and after H310 that they go to the dead. H4191
For I know H3045 him, that H834 he will command H6680 his children H1121 and his household H1004 after him, H310 and they shall keep H8104 the way H1870 of the LORD, H3068 to do H6213 justice H6666 and judgment; H4941 that the LORD H3068 may bring H935 upon Abraham H85 that which he hath spoken H1696 of him.

Commentary on Acts 13 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 13
We have not yet met with any things concerning the spreading of the gospel to the Gentiles which bears any proportion to the largeness of that commission, "Go, and disciple all nations.' The door was opened in the baptizing of Cornelius and his friends; but since then we had the gospel preached to the Jews only, ch. 11:19. It should seem as if the light which began to shine upon the Gentile world had withdrawn itself. But here in this chapter that work, that great good work, is revived in the midst of the years; and though the Jews shall still have the first offer of the gospel made to them, yet, upon their refusal, the Gentiles shall have their share of the offer of it. Here is,
Act 13:1-3
We have here a divine warrant and commission to Barnabas and Saul to go and preach the gospel among the Gentiles, and their ordination to that service by the imposition of hands, with fasting and prayer.
Act 13:4-13
In these verses we have,
Act 13:14-41
Perga in Pamphylia was a noted place, especially for a temple there erected to the goddess Diana, yet nothing at all is related of what Paul and Barnabas did there, only that thither they came (v. 13), and thence they departed, v. 14. But the history of the apostles' travels, as that of Christ's, passes by many things worthy to have been recorded, because, if all had been written, the world could not have contained the books. But the next place we find them in is another Antioch, said to be in Pisidia, to distinguish it from that Antioch in Syria from which they were sent out. Pisidia was a province of the Lesser Asia, bordering upon Pamphylia; this Antioch, it is likely, was the metropolis of it. Abundance of Jews lived there, and to them the gospel was to be first preached; and Paul's sermon to them is what we have in these verses, which, it is likely, is the substance of what was preached by the apostles generally to the Jews in all places; for in dealing with them the proper way was to show them how the New Testament, which they would have them to receive, exactly agreed with the Old Testament, which they not only received, but were zealous for. We have here,
Act 13:42-52
The design of this story being to vindicate the apostles, especially Paul (as he doth himself at large, Rom. 11), from the reflections of the Jews upon him for preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, it is here observed that he proceeded therein with all the caution imaginable, and upon due consideration, of which we have here an instance.
