26 And G5037 he G3778 began G756 to speak boldly G3955 in G1722 the synagogue: G4864 whom G846 when G1161 Aquila G207 and G2532 Priscilla G4252 had heard, G191 they took G4355 him G846 unto them, and G2532 expounded G1620 unto him G846 the way G3598 of God G2316 more perfectly. G197
And G1161 he said, G2036 How G1063 G4459 can I, G302 G1410 except G3362 some man G5100 should guide G3594 me? G3165 And G5037 he desired G3870 Philip G5376 that he would come up G305 and sit G2523 with G4862 him. G846
But G1161 grow G837 in G1722 grace, G5485 and G2532 in the knowledge G1108 of our G2257 Lord G2962 and G2532 Saviour G4990 Jesus G2424 Christ. G5547 To him G846 be glory G1391 both G2532 now G3568 and G2532 for G1519 ever. G165 G2250 Amen. G281
Therefore G1352 leaving G863 the principles G746 of the doctrine G3056 of Christ, G5547 let us go on G5342 unto G1909 perfection; G5047 not G3361 laying G2598 again G3825 the foundation G2310 of repentance G3341 from G575 dead G3498 works, G2041 and G2532 of faith G4102 toward G1909 God, G2316
And G2532 for G5228 me, G1700 that G2443 utterance G3056 may be given G1325 unto me, G3427 that I may open G1722 G457 my G3450 mouth G4750 boldly, G1722 G3954 to make known G1107 the mystery G3466 of the gospel, G2098 For G5228 which G3739 I am an ambassador G4243 in G1722 bonds: G254 that G2443 therein G1722 G846 I may speak boldly, G3955 as G5613 I G3165 ought G1163 to speak. G2980
Let G1818 no man G3367 deceive G1818 himself. G1438 If any man G1536 among G1722 you G5213 seemeth G1380 to be G1511 wise G4680 in G1722 this G5129 world, G165 let him become G1096 a fool, G3474 that G2443 he may be G1096 wise. G4680
And G1161 when they had appointed G5021 him G846 a day, G2250 there came G2240 many G4119 to G4314 him G846 into G1519 his lodging; G3578 to whom G3739 he expounded G1620 and testified G1263 the kingdom G932 of God, G2316 G5037 persuading G3982 them G846 concerning G4012 Jesus, G2424 both G5037 out of G575 the law G3551 of Moses, G3475 and G2532 out of the prophets, G4396 from G575 morning G4404 till G2193 evening. G2073
And G2532 found G2147 a certain G5100 Jew G2453 named G3686 Aquila, G207 born G1085 in Pontus, G4193 lately G4373 come G2064 from G575 Italy, G2482 with G2532 his G846 wife G1135 Priscilla; G4252 (because that G1223 Claudius G2804 had commanded G1299 all G3956 Jews G2453 to depart G5563 from G1537 Rome:) G4516 and came G4334 unto them. G846 And G2532 because G1223 he was G1511 of the same craft, G3673 he abode G3306 with G3844 them, G846 and G2532 wrought: G2038 for G1063 by their occupation G5078 they were G2258 tentmakers. G4635
Long G2425 time G5550 therefore G3303 G3767 abode they G1304 speaking boldly G3955 in G1909 the Lord, G2962 which G3588 gave testimony G3140 unto the word G3056 of his G846 grace, G5485 and G2532 granted G1325 signs G4592 and G2532 wonders G5059 to be done G1096 by G1223 their G846 hands. G5495
If G1437 any man G5100 will G2309 do G4160 his G846 will, G2307 he shall know G1097 of G4012 the doctrine, G1322 whether G4220 it be G2076 of G1537 God, G2316 or G2228 whether I G1473 speak G2980 of G575 myself. G1683
Verily G281 I say G3004 unto you, G5213 Whosoever G3739 shall G1209 not G3362 receive G1209 the kingdom G932 of God G2316 as G5613 a little child, G3813 he shall G1525 not G3364 enter G1525 therein. G1519 G846
And G2532 said, G2036 Verily G281 I say G3004 unto you, G5213 Except G3362 ye be converted, G4762 and G2532 become G1096 as G5613 little children, G3813 ye shall G1525 not G3364 enter G1525 into G1519 the kingdom G932 of heaven. G3772 Whosoever G3748 therefore G3767 shall humble G5013 himself G1438 as G5613 this G5124 little child, G3813 the same G3778 is G2076 greatest G3187 in G1722 the kingdom G932 of heaven. G3772

Commentary on Acts 18 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 18
In this chapter we have,
Act 18:1-6
We do not find that Paul was much persecuted at Athens, nor that he was driven thence by any ill usage, as he was from those places where the Jews had or could make any interest; but this reception at Athens being cold, and little prospect of doing good there, he departed from Athens, leaving the care of those there who believed with Dionysius; and thence he came to Corinth, where he was now instrumental in planting a church that became on many accounts considerable. Corinth was the chief city of Achaia, now a province of the empire, a rich and splendid city. Non cuivis homini contingit adire Corinthum-It is not permitted every man to see Corinth. The country thereabouts at this day is called the Morea. Now here we have,
Act 18:7-11
Here we are told,
Act 18:12-17
We have here an account of some disturbance given to Paul and his friends at Corinth, but no great harm done, nor much hindrance given to the work of Christ there.
Act 18:18-23
We have here Paul in motion, as we have had him at Corinth for some time at rest, but in both busy, very busy, in the service of Christ; if he sat still, if he went about, still it was to do good. Here is,
Act 18:24-28
The sacred history leaves Paul upon his travels, and goes here to meet Apollos at Ephesus, and to give us some account of him, which was necessary to our understanding some passages in Paul's epistles.
