20 When the LORD H3068 thy God H430 shall enlarge H7337 thy border, H1366 as he hath promised H1696 thee, and thou shalt say, H559 I will eat H398 flesh, H1320 because thy soul H5315 longeth H183 to eat H398 flesh; H1320 thou mayest eat H398 flesh, H1320 whatsoever thy soul H5315 lusteth after. H185
And if the LORD H3068 thy God H430 enlarge H7337 thy coast, H1366 as he hath sworn H7650 unto thy fathers, H1 and give H5414 thee all the land H776 which he promised H1696 to give H5414 unto thy fathers; H1
Every place H4725 whereon the soles H3709 of your feet H7272 shall tread H1869 shall be yours: from the wilderness H4057 and Lebanon, H3844 from the river, H5104 the river H5104 Euphrates, H6578 even unto the uttermost H314 sea H3220 shall your coast H1366 be.
And thy seed H2233 shall be as the dust H6083 of the earth, H776 and thou shalt spread abroad H6555 to the west, H3220 and to the east, H6924 and to the north, H6828 and to the south: H5045 and in thee and in thy seed H2233 shall all the families H4940 of the earth H127 be blessed. H1288
For G1063 God G2316 is G2076 my G3450 record, G3144 how G5613 greatly I long after G1971 you G5209 all G3956 in G1722 the bowels G4698 of Jesus G2424 Christ. G5547
Behold, I have longed H8373 after thy precepts: H6490 quicken H2421 me in thy righteousness. H6666
In the same H1931 day H3117 the LORD H3068 made H3772 a covenant H1285 with Abram, H87 saying, H559 Unto thy seed H2233 have I given H5414 this land, H776 from the river H5104 of Egypt H4714 unto the great H1419 river, H5104 the river H5104 Euphrates: H6578 The Kenites, H7017 and the Kenizzites, H7074 and the Kadmonites, H6935 And the Hittites, H2850 and the Perizzites, H6522 and the Rephaims, H7497 And the Amorites, H567 and the Canaanites, H3669 and the Girgashites, H1622 and the Jebusites. H2983
[[A Psalm H4210 of David, H1732 when he was in the wilderness H4057 of Judah.]] H3063 O God, H430 thou art my God; H410 early will I seek H7836 thee: my soul H5315 thirsteth H6770 for thee, my flesh H1320 longeth H3642 for thee in a dry H6723 and thirsty H5889 land, H776 where no H1097 water H4325 is;
And Jabez H3258 called H7121 on the God H430 of Israel, H3478 saying, H559 Oh that H518 thou wouldest bless H1288 me indeed, H1288 and enlarge H7235 my coast, H1366 and that thine hand H3027 might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep H6213 me from evil, H7451 that it may not grieve H6087 me! And God H430 granted H935 him that which he requested. H7592
And David H1732 longed, H183 and said, H559 Oh that one would give me drink H8248 of the water H4325 of the well H953 of Bethlehem, H1035 which is by the gate! H8179
And the soul of king H4428 David H1732 longed H3615 to go forth H3318 unto Absalom: H53 for he was comforted H5162 concerning Amnon, H550 seeing he was dead. H4191
Notwithstanding thou mayest kill H2076 and eat H398 flesh H1320 in all thy gates, H8179 whatsoever thy soul H5315 lusteth after, H185 according to the blessing H1293 of the LORD H3068 thy God H430 which he hath given H5414 thee: the unclean H2931 and the clean H2889 may eat H398 thereof, as of the roebuck, H6643 and as of the hart. H354
And he called H7121 the name H8034 of that place H4725 Kibrothhattaavah: H6914 because there they buried H6912 the people H5971 that lusted. H183
But even a whole month, H2320 H3117 until it come out H3318 at your nostrils, H639 and it be loathsome H2214 unto you: because H3282 that ye have despised H3988 the LORD H3068 which is among H7130 you, and have wept H1058 before H6440 him, saying, H559 Why came we forth H3318 out of Egypt? H4714
And I will set H7896 thy bounds H1366 from the Red H5488 sea H3220 even unto the sea H3220 of the Philistines, H6430 and from the desert H4057 unto the river: H5104 for I will deliver H5414 the inhabitants H3427 of the land H776 into your hand; H3027 and thou shalt drive them out H1644 before H6440 thee.

Commentary on Deuteronomy 12 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 12
Moses at this chapter comes to the particular statues which he had to give in charge to Israel, and he begins with those which relate to the worship of God, and particularly those which explain the second commandment, about which God is in a special manner jealous.
Deu 12:1-4
From those great original truths, That there is a God, and that there is but one God, arise those great fundamental laws, That that God is to be worshipped, and he only, and that therefore we are to have no other God before him: this is the first commandment, and the second is a guard upon it, or a hedge about it. To prevent a revolt to false gods, we are forbidden to worship the true God in such a way and manner as the false gods were worshipped in, and are commanded to observe the instituted ordinances of worship that we may adhere to the proper object of worship. For this reason Moses is very large in his exposition of the second commandment. What is contained in this and the four following chapters mostly refers to that. These are statutes and judgments which they must observe to do (v. 1),
Deu 12:5-32
There is not any one particular precept (as I remember) in all the law of Moses so largely pressed and inculcated as this, by which they are all tied to bring their sacrifices to that one altar which was set up in the court of the tabernacle, and there to perform all the rituals of their religion; for, as to moral services, then, no doubt, as now, men might pray every where, as they did in their synagogues. The command to do this, and the prohibition of the contrary, are here repeated again and again, as we teach children: and yet we are sure that there is in scripture no vain repetition; but all this stress is laid upon it,
Let us now reduce this long charge to its proper heads.
