13 If any man H376 take H3947 a wife, H802 and go in H935 unto her, and hate H8130 her,
And Jacob H3290 said H559 unto Laban, H3837 Give H3051 me my wife, H802 for my days H3117 are fulfilled, H4390 that I may go in H935 unto her.
When a man H376 hath taken H3947 a wife, H802 and married H1166 her, and it come to pass that she find H4672 no favour H2580 in his eyes, H5869 because he hath found H4672 some H1697 uncleanness H6172 in her: then let him write H3789 her a bill H5612 of divorcement, H3748 and give H5414 it in her hand, H3027 and send H7971 her out of his house. H1004
But it came to pass within a while after, H3117 in the time H3117 of wheat H2406 harvest, H7105 that Samson H8123 visited H6485 his wife H802 with a kid; H1423 H5795 and he said, H559 I will go in H935 to my wife H802 into the chamber. H2315 But her father H1 would not suffer H5414 him to go in. H935 And her father H1 said, H559 I verily H559 thought H559 that thou hadst utterly H8130 hated H8130 her; therefore I gave H5414 her to thy companion: H4828 is not her younger H6996 sister H269 fairer H2896 than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
So G3779 ought G3784 men G435 to love G25 their G1438 wives G1135 as G5613 their own G1438 bodies. G4983 He that loveth G25 his G1438 wife G1135 loveth G25 himself. G1438 For G1063 no man G3762 ever yet G4218 hated G3404 his own G1438 flesh; G4561 but G235 nourisheth G1625 and G2532 cherisheth G2282 it, G846 even as G2531 G2532 the Lord G2962 the church: G1577

Commentary on Deuteronomy 22 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 22
The laws of this chapter provide,
Deu 22:1-4
The kindness that was commanded to be shown in reference to an enemy (Ex. 23:4, etc.) is here required to be much more done for a neighbour, though he were not an Israelite, for the law is consonant to natural equity.
Deu 22:5-12
Here are several laws in these verses which seem to stoop very low, and to take cognizance of things mean and minute. Men's laws commonly do not so: De minimis non curat lex-The law takes no cognizance of little things; but because God's providence extends itself to the smallest affairs, his precepts do so, that even in them we may be in the fear of the Lord, as we are under his eye and care. And yet the significancy and tendency of these statutes, which seem little, are such that, notwithstanding their minuteness, being fond among the things of God's law, which he has written to us, they are to be accounted great things.
Deu 22:13-30
These laws relate to the seventh commandment, laying a restraint by laying a penalty upon those fleshly lusts which war against the soul.
