20 But the LORD H3068 hath taken H3947 you, and brought you forth H3318 out of the iron H1270 furnace, H3564 even out of Egypt, H4714 to be unto him a people H5971 of inheritance, H5159 as ye are this day. H3117
For they be thy people, H5971 and thine inheritance, H5159 which thou broughtest forth H3318 out of Egypt, H4714 from the midst H8432 of the furnace H3564 of iron: H1270
Which I commanded H6680 your fathers H1 in the day H3117 that I brought them forth H3318 out of the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 from the iron H1270 furnace, H3564 saying, H559 Obey H8085 my voice, H6963 and do H6213 them, according to all which I command H6680 you: so shall ye be my people, H5971 and I will be your God: H430
Now therefore, if ye will obey H8085 my voice H6963 indeed, H8085 and keep H8104 my covenant, H1285 then ye shall be a peculiar treasure H5459 unto me above all people: H5971 for all the earth H776 is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom H4467 of priests, H3548 and an holy H6918 nation. H1471 These are the words H1697 which thou shalt speak H1696 unto the children H1121 of Israel. H3478
But G1161 ye G5210 are a chosen G1588 generation, G1085 a royal G934 priesthood, G2406 an holy G40 nation, G1484 a peculiar G1519 G4047 people; G2992 that G3704 ye should shew forth G1804 the praises G703 of him who hath called G2564 you G5209 out of G1537 darkness G4655 into G1519 his G846 marvellous G2298 light: G5457
I prayed H6419 therefore unto the LORD, H3068 and said, H559 O Lord H136 GOD, H3069 destroy H7843 not thy people H5971 and thine inheritance, H5159 which thou hast redeemed H6299 through thy greatness, H1433 which thou hast brought forth H3318 out of Egypt H4714 with a mighty H2389 hand. H3027
Blessed H835 is the nation H1471 whose God H430 is the LORD; H3068 and the people H5971 whom he hath chosen H977 for his own inheritance. H5159
For the LORD H3050 hath chosen H977 Jacob H3290 unto himself, and Israel H3478 for his peculiar treasure. H5459
O LORD, H3068 why hast thou made us to err H8582 from thy ways, H1870 and hardened H7188 our heart H3820 from thy fear? H3374 Return H7725 for thy servants' H5650 sake, the tribes H7626 of thine inheritance. H5159 The people H5971 of thy holiness H6944 have possessed H3423 it but a little while: H4705 our adversaries H6862 have trodden down H947 thy sanctuary. H4720
The eyes G3788 of your G5216 understanding G1271 being enlightened; G5461 that G1519 ye G5209 may know G1492 what G5101 is G2076 the hope G1680 of his G846 calling, G2821 and G2532 what G5101 the riches G4149 of the glory G1391 of his G846 inheritance G2817 in G1722 the saints, G40

This most lively and excellent discourse is so entire, and the particulars of it are so often repeated, that we must take it altogether in the exposition of it, and endeavour to digest it into proper heads, for we cannot divide it into paragraphs.
Now let all these arguments be laid together, and then say whether religion has not reason on its side. None cast off the government of their God but those that have first abandoned the understanding of a man.
Deu 4:41-49
