22 And ye shall take H3947 a bunch H92 of hyssop, H231 and dip H2881 it in the blood H1818 that is in the bason, H5592 and strike H5060 the lintel H4947 and the two H8147 side posts H4201 with the blood H1818 that is in the bason; H5592 and none H376 of you shall go out H3318 at the door H6607 of his house H1004 until the morning. H1242
Through faith G4102 he kept G4160 the passover, G3957 and G2532 the sprinkling G4378 of blood, G129 lest G3363 he that destroyed G3645 the firstborn G4416 should touch G2345 them. G846
And they shall take H3947 of the blood, H1818 and strike H5414 it on the two H8147 side posts H4201 and on the upper door post H4947 of the houses, H1004 wherein they shall eat H398 it.
And a clean H2889 person H376 shall take H3947 hyssop, H231 and dip H2881 it in the water, H4325 and sprinkle H5137 it upon the tent, H168 and upon all the vessels, H3627 and upon the persons H5315 that were there, and upon him that touched H5060 a bone, H6106 or one slain, H2491 or one dead, H4191 or a grave: H6913
Purge H2398 me with hyssop, H231 and I shall be clean: H2891 wash H3526 me, and I shall be whiter H3835 than snow. H7950
For G1063 when G5259 Moses G3475 had spoken G2980 every G3956 precept G1785 to all G3956 the people G2992 according G2596 to the law, G3551 he took G2983 the blood G129 of calves G3448 and G2532 of goats, G5131 with G3326 water, G5204 and G2532 scarlet G2847 wool, G2053 and G2532 hyssop, G5301 and sprinkled G4472 both G5037 the book, G975 G846 and G2532 all G3956 the people, G2992
As for the living H2416 bird, H6833 he shall take H3947 it, and the cedar H730 wood, H6086 and the scarlet, H8144 H8438 and the hyssop, H231 and shall dip H2881 them and the living H2416 bird H6833 in the blood H1818 of the bird H6833 that was killed H7819 over the running H2416 water: H4325 And he shall sprinkle H5137 upon him that is to be cleansed H2891 from the leprosy H6883 seven H7651 times, H6471 and shall pronounce him clean, H2891 and shall let the living H2416 bird H6833 loose H7971 into the open H6440 field. H7704
And G2532 when they had sung an hymn, G5214 they went out G1831 into G1519 the mount G3735 of Olives. G1636
Then G3767 verily G3303 the first G4413 covenant had G2192 also G2532 ordinances G1345 of divine service, G2999 and G5037 a worldly G2886 sanctuary. G39
How much G4214 more G3123 shall G2511 the blood G129 of Christ, G5547 who G3739 through G1223 the eternal G166 Spirit G4151 offered G4374 himself G1438 without spot G299 to God, G2316 purge G2511 your G5216 conscience G4893 from G575 dead G3498 works G2041 to G1519 serve G3000 the living G2198 God? G2316
And G2532 to Jesus G2424 the mediator G3316 of the new G3501 covenant, G1242 and G2532 to the blood G129 of sprinkling, G4473 that speaketh G2980 better things G2909 than G3844 that of Abel. G6

Commentary on Exodus 12 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 12
This chapter gives an account of one of the most memorable ordinances, and one of the most memorable providences, of all that are recorded in the Old Testament.
Exd 12:1-20
Moses and Aaron here receive of the Lord what they were afterwards to deliver to the people concerning the ordinance of the passover, to which is prefixed an order for a new style to be observed in their months (v. 1, 2): This shall be to you the beginning of months. They had hitherto begun their year from the middle of September, but henceforward they were to begin it from the middle of March, at least in all their ecclesiastical computations. Note, It is good to begin the day, and begin the year, and especially to begin our lives, with God. This new calculation began the year with the spring, which reneweth the face of the earth, and was used as a figure of the coming of Christ, Cant. 2:11, 12. We may suppose that, while Moses was bringing the ten plagues upon the Egyptians, he was directing the Israelites to prepare for their departure at an hour's warning. Probably he had be degrees brought them near together from their dispersions, for their are here called the congregation of Israel (v. 3), and to them as a congregation orders are here sent. Their amazement and hurry, it is easy to suppose, were great; yet now they must apply themselves to the observance of a sacred rite, to the honour of God. Note, When our heads are fullest of care, and our hands of business, yet we must not forget our religion, nor suffer ourselves to be indisposed for acts of devotion.

Here we have,
Exd 12:37-42
Here is the departure of the children of Israel out of Egypt; having obtained their dismission, they set forward without delay, and did not defer to a more convenient season. Pharaoh was now in a good mind; but they had reason to think he would not long continue so, and therefore it was no time to linger. We have here an account,
Exd 12:43-51
Some further precepts are here given concerning the passover, as it should be observed in times to come.
The chapter concludes with a repetition of the whole matter, that the children of Israel did as they were bidden, and God did for them as he promised (v. 50, 51); for he will certainly be the author of salvation to those that obey him.
