37 And thou shalt make H6213 the seven H7651 lamps H5216 thereof: and they shall light H5927 the lamps H5216 thereof, that they may give light H215 over against H5676 it. H6440
Speak H1696 unto Aaron, H175 and say H559 unto him, When thou lightest H5927 the lamps, H5216 the seven H7651 lamps H5216 shall give light H215 over against H6440 H4136 the candlestick. H4501
And they burn H6999 unto the LORD H3068 every morning H1242 and every evening H6153 burnt sacrifices H5930 and sweet H5561 incense: H7004 the shewbread H3899 H4635 also set they in order upon the pure H2889 table; H7979 and the candlestick H4501 of gold H2091 with the lamps H5216 thereof, to burn H1197 every evening: H6153 for we keep H8104 the charge H4931 of the LORD H3068 our God; H430 but ye have forsaken H5800 him.
Command H6680 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 that they bring H3947 unto thee pure H2134 oil H8081 olive H2132 beaten H3795 for the light, H3974 to cause the lamps H5216 to burn H5927 continually. H8548 Without H2351 the vail H6532 of the testimony, H5715 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 shall Aaron H175 order H6186 it from the evening H6153 unto the morning H1242 before H6440 the LORD H3068 continually: H8548 it shall be a statute H2708 for ever H5769 in your generations. H1755 He shall order H6186 the lamps H5216 upon the pure H2889 candlestick H4501 before H6440 the LORD H3068 continually. H8548
In the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 without H2351 the vail, H6532 which is before the testimony, H5715 Aaron H175 and his sons H1121 shall order H6186 it from evening H6153 to morning H1242 before H6440 the LORD: H3068 it shall be a statute H2708 for ever H5769 unto their generations H1755 on the behalf of the children H1121 of Israel. H3478
Why G1302 was G4097 not G3756 this G5124 ointment G3464 sold G4097 for three hundred G5145 pence, G1220 and G2532 given G1325 to the poor? G4434
And G2532 there shall be G2071 no G3756 night G3571 there; G1563 and G2532 they need G5532 no G3756 candle, G3088 G2192 neither G2532 light G5457 of the sun; G2246 for G3754 the Lord G2962 God G2316 giveth G5461 them G846 light: G5461 and G2532 they shall reign G936 for G1519 ever G165 and ever. G165
And G2532 the city G4172 had G2192 no G3756 need G5532 of the sun, G2246 neither G3761 of the moon, G4582 to G2443 shine G5316 in G1722 it: G846 for G1063 the glory G1391 of God G2316 did lighten G5461 it, G846 and G2532 the Lamb G721 is the light G3088 thereof. G846 And G2532 the nations G1484 of them which are saved G4982 shall walk G4043 in G1722 the light G5457 of it: G846 and G2532 the kings G935 of the earth G1093 do bring G5342 their G846 glory G1391 and G2532 honour G5092 into G1519 it. G846 And G2532 the gates G4440 of it G846 shall G2808 not G3364 be shut G2808 at all G3364 by day: G2250 for G1063 there shall be G2071 no G3756 night G3571 there. G1563
And G2532 out of G1537 the throne G2362 proceeded G1607 lightnings G796 and G2532 thunderings G1027 and G2532 voices: G5456 and G2532 there were seven G2033 lamps G2985 of fire G4442 burning G2545 before G1799 the throne, G2362 which G3739 are G1526 the seven G2033 Spirits G4151 of God. G2316
John G2491 to the seven G2033 churches G1577 which G3588 are in G1722 Asia: G773 Grace G5485 be unto you, G5213 and G2532 peace, G1515 from G575 him which G3588 is, G5607 and G2532 which G3588 was, G2258 and G2532 which G3588 is to come; G2064 G3801 and G2532 from G575 the seven G2033 Spirits G4151 which G3739 are G2076 before G1799 his G846 throne; G2362
To open G455 their G846 eyes, G3788 and to turn G1994 them from G575 darkness G4655 to G1519 light, G5457 and G2532 from the power G1849 of Satan G4567 unto G1909 God, G2316 that they G846 may receive G2983 forgiveness G859 of sins, G266 and G2532 inheritance G2819 among G1722 them which are sanctified G37 by faith G4102 that is in G1519 me. G1691
Then G3767 spake G2980 Jesus G2424 again G3825 unto them, G846 saying, G3004 I G1473 am G1510 the light G5457 of the world: G2889 he that followeth G190 me G1698 shall G4043 not G3364 walk G4043 in G1722 darkness, G4653 but G235 shall have G2192 the light G5457 of life. G2222
Ye G5210 are G2075 the light G5457 of the world. G2889 A city G4172 that is set G2749 on G1883 an hill G3735 cannot G3756 G1410 be hid. G2928
And said H559 unto me, What seest H7200 thou? And I said, H559 I have looked, H7200 and behold a candlestick H4501 all of gold, H2091 with a bowl H1531 upon the top H7218 of it, and his seven H7651 lamps H5216 thereon, and seven H7651 pipes H4166 to the seven H7651 lamps, H5216 which are upon the top H7218 thereof:

Commentary on Exodus 25 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 25
At this chapter begins an account of the orders and instructions God gave to Moses upon the mount for the erecting and furnishing of a tabernacle to the honour of God. We have here.
Exd 25:1-9
We may suppose that when Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and abode there so long, where the holy angels attended the shechinah, or divine Majesty, he saw and heard very glorious things relating to the upper world, but they were things which it was not lawful nor possible to utter; and therefore, in the records he kept of the transactions there, he says nothing to satisfy the curiosity of those who would intrude into the things which they have not seen, but writes that only which he was to speak to the children of Israel. For the scripture is designed to direct us in our duty, not to fill our heads with speculations, nor to please our fancies.
In these verses God tells Moses his intention in general, that the children of Israel should build him a sanctuary, for he designed to dwell among them (v. 8); and some think that, though there were altars and groves used for religious worship before this, yet there never was any house, or temple, built for sacred uses in any nation before this tabernacle was erected by Moses, and that all the temples which were afterwards so much celebrated among the heathen took rise from this and pattern by it. God had chosen the people of Israel to be a peculiar people to himself (above all people), among whom divine revelation, and a religion according to it, should be lodged and established: he himself would be their King. As their King, he had already given them laws for the government of themselves, and their dealings one with another, with some general rules for religious worship, according to the light of reason and the law of nature, in the ten commandments and the following comments upon them. But this was not thought sufficient to distinguish them from other nations, or to answer to the extent of that covenant which God would make with them to be their God; and therefore,
Exd 25:10-22
The first thing which is here ordered to be made is the ark with its appurtenances, the furniture of the most holy place, and the special token of God's presence, for which the tabernacle was erected to be the receptacle.
