9 And mine hand H3027 shall be upon the prophets H5030 that see H2374 vanity, H7723 and that divine H7080 lies: H3577 they shall not be in the assembly H5475 of my people, H5971 neither shall they be written H3789 in the writing H3791 of the house H1004 of Israel, H3478 neither shall they enter H935 into the land H127 of Israel; H3478 and ye shall know H3045 that I am the Lord H136 GOD. H3069
And I will purge out H1305 from among you the rebels, H4775 and them that transgress H6586 against me: I will bring them forth H3318 out of the country H776 where they sojourn, H4033 and they shall not enter H935 into the land H127 of Israel: H3478 and ye shall know H3045 that I am the LORD. H3068
And at that time H6256 shall Michael H4317 stand up, H5975 the great H1419 prince H8269 which standeth H5975 for the children H1121 of thy people: H5971 and there shall be H1961 a time H6256 of trouble, H6869 such as never was since there was a nation H1471 even to that same time: H6256 and at that time H6256 thy people H5971 shall be delivered, H4422 every one that shall be found H4672 written H3789 in the book. H5612
Then said H559 the prophet H5030 Jeremiah H3414 unto Hananiah H2608 the prophet, H5030 Hear H8085 now, Hananiah; H2608 The LORD H3068 hath not sent H7971 thee; but thou makest this people H5971 to trust H982 in a lie. H8267 Therefore thus saith H559 the LORD; H3068 Behold, I will cast H7971 thee from off the face H6440 of the earth: H127 this year H8141 thou shalt die, H4191 because thou hast taught H1696 rebellion H5627 against the LORD. H3068 So Hananiah H2608 the prophet H5030 died H4191 the same year H8141 in the seventh H7637 month. H2320
And it came to pass on the morrow, H4283 that Pashur H6583 brought forth H3318 Jeremiah H3414 out of the stocks. H4115 Then said H559 Jeremiah H3414 unto him, The LORD H3068 hath not called H7121 thy name H8034 Pashur, H6583 but Magormissabib. H4036 For thus saith H559 the LORD, H3068 Behold, I will make H5414 thee a terror H4032 to thyself, and to all thy friends: H157 and they shall fall H5307 by the sword H2719 of their enemies, H341 and thine eyes H5869 shall behold H7200 it: and I will give H5414 all Judah H3063 into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and he shall carry them captive H1540 into Babylon, H894 and shall slay H5221 them with the sword. H2719 Moreover I will deliver H5414 all the strength H2633 of this city, H5892 and all the labours H3018 thereof, and all the precious things H3366 thereof, and all the treasures H214 of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 will I give H5414 into the hand H3027 of their enemies, H341 which shall spoil H962 them, and take H3947 them, and carry H935 them to Babylon. H894 And thou, Pashur, H6583 and all that dwell H3427 in thine house H1004 shall go H3212 into captivity: H7628 and thou shalt come H935 to Babylon, H894 and there thou shalt die, H4191 and shalt be buried H6912 there, thou, and all thy friends, H157 to whom thou hast prophesied H5012 lies. H8267
And these were they which went up H5927 from Telmelah, H8528 Telharsa, H8521 Cherub, H3743 Addan, H135 and Immer: H564 but they could H3201 not shew H5046 their father's H1 house, H1004 and their seed, H2233 whether they were of Israel: H3478
And if the prophet H5030 be deceived H6601 when he hath spoken H1696 a thing, H1697 I the LORD H3068 have deceived H6601 that prophet, H5030 and I will stretch out H5186 my hand H3027 upon him, and will destroy H8045 him from the midst H8432 of my people H5971 Israel. H3478 And they shall bear H5375 the punishment of their iniquity: H5771 the punishment H5771 of the prophet H5030 shall be even as the punishment H5771 of him that seeketh H1875 unto him;
And G2532 I saw G1492 the dead, G3498 small G3398 and G2532 great, G3173 stand G2476 before G1799 God; G2316 and G2532 the books G975 were opened: G455 and G2532 another G243 book G975 was opened, G455 which G3739 is G2076 the book of life: G2222 and G2532 the dead G3498 were judged G2919 out of G1537 those things which were written G1125 in G1722 the books, G975 according to G2596 their G846 works. G2041
And G2532 the beast G2342 was taken, G4084 and G2532 with G3326 him G5127 the false prophet G5578 that wrought G4160 miracles G4592 before G1799 him, G846 with G1722 which G3739 he deceived G4105 them that had received G2983 the mark G5480 of the beast, G2342 and G2532 them that worshipped G4352 his G846 image. G1504 These both G1417 were cast G906 alive G2198 into G1519 a lake G3041 of fire G4442 burning G2545 with G1722 brimstone. G2303
To the general assembly G3831 and G2532 church G1577 of the firstborn, G4416 which are written G583 in G1722 heaven, G3772 and G2532 to God G2316 the Judge G2923 of all, G3956 and G2532 to the spirits G4151 of just men G1342 made perfect, G5048
And G2532 I intreat G2065 thee G4571 also, G2532 true G1103 yokefellow, G4805 help G4815 those women G846 which G3748 laboured G4866 with me G3427 in G1722 the gospel, G2098 with G3326 Clement G2815 also, G2532 and G2532 with other G3062 my G3450 fellowlabourers, G4904 whose G3739 names G3686 are in G1722 the book G976 of life. G2222
They shall not dwell H3427 in the LORD'S H3068 land; H776 but Ephraim H669 shall return H7725 to Egypt, H4714 and they shall eat H398 unclean H2931 things in Assyria. H804
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive H5375 their sin—; H2403 and if not, blot H4229 me, I pray thee, out of thy book H5612 which thou hast written. H3789 And the LORD H3068 said H559 unto Moses, H4872 Whosoever H834 hath sinned H2398 against me, him will I blot out H4229 of my book. H5612
And ye shall know H3045 that I am the LORD: H3068 for ye have not walked H1980 in my statutes, H2706 neither executed H6213 my judgments, H4941 but have done H6213 after the manners H4941 of the heathen H1471 that are round about H5439 you. And it came to pass, when I prophesied, H5012 that Pelatiah H6410 the son H1121 of Benaiah H1141 died. H4191 Then fell I down H5307 upon my face, H6440 and cried H2199 with a loud H1419 voice, H6963 and said, H559 Ah H162 Lord H136 GOD! H3069 wilt thou make H6213 a full end H3617 of the remnant H7611 of Israel? H3478
Ye shall fall H5307 by the sword; H2719 I will judge H8199 you in the border H1366 of Israel; H3478 and ye shall know H3045 that I am the LORD. H3068
Send H7971 to all them of the captivity, H1473 saying, H559 Thus saith H559 the LORD H3068 concerning Shemaiah H8098 the Nehelamite; H5161 Because that Shemaiah H8098 hath prophesied H5012 unto you, and I sent H7971 him not, and he caused you to trust H982 in a lie: H8267 Therefore thus saith H559 the LORD; H3068 Behold, I will punish H6485 Shemaiah H8098 the Nehelamite, H5161 and his seed: H2233 he shall not have a man H376 to dwell H3427 among H8432 this people; H5971 neither shall he behold H7200 the good H2896 that I will do H6213 for my people, H5971 saith H5002 the LORD; H3068 because he hath taught H1696 rebellion H5627 against the LORD. H3068
Thus saith H559 the LORD H3068 of hosts, H6635 the God H430 of Israel, H3478 of Ahab H256 the son H1121 of Kolaiah, H6964 and of Zedekiah H6667 the son H1121 of Maaseiah, H4641 which prophesy H5012 a lie H8267 unto you in my name; H8034 Behold, I will deliver H5414 them into the hand H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon; H894 and he shall slay H5221 them before your eyes; H5869 And of them shall be taken up H3947 a curse H7045 by all the captivity H1546 of Judah H3063 which are in Babylon, H894 saying, H559 The LORD H3068 make H7760 thee like Zedekiah H6667 and like Ahab, H256 whom the king H4428 of Babylon H894 roasted H7033 in the fire; H784
The anger H639 of the LORD H3068 shall not return, H7725 until he have executed, H6213 and till he have performed H6965 the thoughts H4209 of his heart: H3820 in the latter H319 days H3117 ye shall consider H995 it perfectly. H998
And it shall come to pass, that he that is left H7604 in Zion, H6726 and he that remaineth H3498 in Jerusalem, H3389 shall be called H559 holy, H6918 even every one that is written H3789 among the living H2416 in Jerusalem: H3389
These sought H1245 their register H3791 among those that were reckoned by genealogy, H3187 but it was not found: H4672 therefore were they, as polluted, H1351 put from the priesthood. H3550
The children H1121 of Delaiah, H1806 the children H1121 of Tobiah, H2900 the children H1121 of Nekoda, H5353 six H8337 hundred H3967 forty H705 and two. H8147
These sought H1245 their register H3791 among those that were reckoned by genealogy, H3187 but they were not found: H4672 therefore were they, as polluted, H1351 put from the priesthood. H3550 And the Tirshatha H8660 said H559 unto them, that they should not eat H398 of the most H6944 holy things, H6944 till there stood up H5975 a priest H3548 with Urim H224 and with Thummim. H8550
But Zedekiah H6667 the son H1121 of Chenaanah H3668 went near, H5066 and smote H5221 Micaiah H4321 on the cheek, H3895 and said, H559 Which way H335 went H5674 the Spirit H7307 of the LORD H3068 from me to speak H1696 unto thee? And Micaiah H4321 said, H559 Behold, thou shalt see H7200 in that day, H3117 when thou shalt go H935 into an inner H2315 chamber H2315 to hide H2247 thyself.

Commentary on Ezekiel 13 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 13
Mention had been made, in the chapter before, of the vain visions and flattering divinations with which the people of Israel suffered themselves to be imposed upon (v. 24); now this whole chapter is levelled against them. God's faithful prophets are nowhere so sharp upon any sort of sinners as upon the false prophets, not because they were the most spiteful enemies to them, but because the put the highest affront upon God and did the greatest mischief to his people. The prophet here shows the sin and punishment,
Both agreed to sooth men up in their sins, and, under pretence of comforting God's people, to flatter them with hopes that they should yet have peace; but the prophets shall be proved liars, their prophecies mere shams, and the expectations of the people illusions; for God will let them know that "the deceived and the deceiver are his,' are both accountable to him, Job 12:16.
Eze 13:1-9
The false prophets, who are here prophesied against, were some of them at Jerusalem (Jer. 23:14): I have seen in the prophets at Jerusalem a horrible thing; some of them among the captives in Babylon, for to them Jeremiah writes (Jer. 29:8), Let not your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you. And as God's prophets, though at a distance from each other in place or time, yet preached the same truths, which was an evidence that they were guided by one and the same good Spirit, so the false prophets prophesied the same lies, being actuated by one and the same spirit of error. There were little hopes of bringing them to repentance, they were so hardened in their sin; yet Ezekiel must prophesy against them, in hopes that the people might be cautioned not to hearken to them; and thus a testimony will be left upon record against them, and they will thereby be left inexcusable.
Ezekiel had express orders to prophesy against the prophets of Israel; so they called themselves, as if none but they had been worthy of the name of Israel's prophets, who were indeed Israel's deceivers. But it is observable that Israel was never imposed upon by pretenders to prophecy till after they had rejected and abused the true prophets; as, afterwards, they were never deluded by counterfeit messiahs till after they had refused the true Messiah and rejected him. These false prophets must be required to hear the word of the Lord. They took upon them to speak what concerned others as from God; let them now hear what concerned themselves as from him. And two things the prophet is directed to do:-
Eze 13:10-16
We have here more plain dealing with the false prophets, and some further articles of their doom. We have seen the people made ashamed of the false prophets (though sometimes they had been fond of them) and casting them away, as they shall do their false gods, with indignation; now here we find them as much ashamed of their false prophecies, which they had sometimes depended upon with much assurance. Observe,
Eze 13:17-23
As God has promised that when he pours out his Spirit upon his people both their sons and their daughters shall prophesy, so the devil, when he acts as a spirit of lies and falsehood, is so in the mouth not only of false prophets, but of false prophetesses too, and those are the deceivers whom the prophet is here directed to prophesy against; for they are not such despicable enemies to God's truths as deserve not to be taken notice of, nor yet will either the weakness of their sex excuse their sin or the tenderness and respect that are owing to it exempt them from the reproaches and threatenings of the word of God. No: Son of man, set they face against the daughters of thy people, v. 17. God takes no pleasure in owning them for his people. They are thy people, as Ex. 32:7. The women pretend to a spirit of prophecy, and are in the same song with the men, as Ahab's prophets were: Go on, and prosper. They prophesy out of their own heart too; they say what comes uppermost and what they know nothing of. Therefore prophesy against them from God's own mouth. The prophet must set his face against them, and try if they can look him in the face and stand to what they say. Note, When sinners grow very impudent it is time for reprovers to be very bold. Now observe,
