19 And he blessed H1288 him, and said, H559 Blessed H1288 be Abram H87 of the most high H5945 God, H410 possessor H7069 of heaven H8064 and earth: H776
And Abram H87 said H559 to the king H4428 of Sodom, H5467 I have lift up H7311 mine hand H3027 unto the LORD, H3068 the most high H5945 God, H410 the possessor H7069 of heaven H8064 and earth, H776
But G1161 he whose descent is G1075 not G3361 counted G1075 from G1537 them G846 received tithes G1183 of Abraham, G11 and G2532 blessed G2127 him that had G2192 the promises. G1860 And G1161 without G5565 all G3956 contradiction G485 the less G1640 is blessed G2127 of G5259 the better. G2909
At G1722 that G1565 time G2540 Jesus G2424 answered G611 and said, G2036 I thank G1843 thee, G4671 O Father, G3962 Lord G2962 of heaven G3772 and G2532 earth, G1093 because G3754 thou hast hid G613 these things G5023 from G575 the wise G4680 and G2532 prudent, G4908 and G2532 hast revealed G601 them G846 unto babes. G3516
For every beast H2416 of the forest H3293 is mine, and the cattle H929 upon a thousand H505 hills. H2042
The same G3778 followed G2628 Paul G3972 and G2532 us, G2254 and cried, G2896 saying, G3004 These G3778 men G444 are G1526 the servants G1401 of the most high G5310 God, G2316 which G3748 shew G2605 unto us G2254 the way G3598 of salvation. G4991
In G1722 that G846 hour G5610 Jesus G2424 rejoiced in G21 spirit, G4151 and G2532 said, G2036 I thank G1843 thee, G4671 O Father, G3962 Lord G2962 of heaven G3772 and G2532 earth, G1093 that G3754 thou hast hid G613 these things G5023 from G575 the wise G4680 and G2532 prudent, G4908 and G2532 hast revealed G601 them G846 unto babes: G3516 even so, G3483 Father; G3962 for G3754 so G3779 it seemed G1096 good G2107 in G1715 thy G4675 sight. G1715
Wherewith shall I come before H6923 the LORD, H3068 and bow H3721 myself before the high H4791 God? H430 shall I come before H6923 him with burnt offerings, H5930 with calves H5695 of a year H8141 old? H1121
[[A Psalm H4210 of David.]] H1732 The earth H776 is the LORD'S, H3068 and the fulness H4393 thereof; the world, H8398 and they that dwell H3427 therein.
And David H1732 sent H7971 messengers H4397 unto the men H582 of Jabeshgilead, H3003 H1568 and said H559 unto them, Blessed H1288 be ye of the LORD, H3068 that ye have shewed H6213 this kindness H2617 unto your lord, H113 even unto Saul, H7586 and have buried H6912 him.
Speak H1696 unto Aaron H175 and unto his sons, H1121 saying, H559 On this wise H3541 ye shall bless H1288 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 saying H559 unto them, The LORD H3068 bless H1288 thee, and keep H8104 thee: The LORD H3068 make his face H6440 shine H215 upon thee, and be gracious H2603 unto thee: The LORD H3068 lift up H5375 his countenance H6440 upon thee, and give H7760 thee peace. H7965 And they shall put H7760 my name H8034 upon the children H1121 of Israel; H3478 and I will bless H1288 them.
All these are the twelve H6240 H8147 tribes H7626 of Israel: H3478 and this is it that their father H1 spake H1696 unto them, and blessed H1288 them; every H834 one H376 according to his blessing H1293 he blessed H1288 them.
And Joseph H3130 said H559 unto his father, H1 They are my sons, H1121 whom God H430 hath given H5414 me in this place. And he said, H559 Bring them, H3947 I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless H1288 them. Now the eyes H5869 of Israel H3478 were dim H3513 for age, H2207 so that he could H3201 not see. H7200 And he brought them near H5066 unto him; and he kissed H5401 them, and embraced H2263 them. And Israel H3478 said H559 unto Joseph, H3130 I had not thought H6419 to see H7200 thy face: H6440 and, lo, God H430 hath shewed H7200 me also thy seed. H2233 And Joseph H3130 brought them out H3318 from between H5973 his knees, H1290 and he bowed H7812 himself with his face H639 to the earth. H776 And Joseph H3130 took H3947 them both, H8147 Ephraim H669 in his right hand H3225 toward Israel's H3478 left hand, H8040 and Manasseh H4519 in his left hand H8040 toward Israel's H3478 right hand, H3225 and brought them near H5066 unto him. And Israel H3478 stretched out H7971 his right hand, H3225 and laid H7896 it upon Ephraim's H669 head, H7218 who was the younger, H6810 and his left hand H8040 upon Manasseh's H4519 head, H7218 guiding H7919 his hands H3027 wittingly; H7919 for Manasseh H4519 was the firstborn. H1060 And he blessed H1288 Joseph, H3130 and said, H559 God, H430 before H6440 whom my fathers H1 Abraham H85 and Isaac H3327 did walk, H1980 the God H430 which fed H7462 me all my life long H5750 unto this day, H3117 The Angel H4397 which redeemed H1350 me from all evil, H7451 bless H1288 the lads; H5288 and let my name H8034 be named H7121 on them, and the name H8034 of my fathers H1 Abraham H85 and Isaac; H3327 and let them grow H1711 into a multitude H7230 in the midst H7130 of the earth. H776
And Jacob H3290 blessed H1288 Pharaoh, H6547 and went out H3318 from before H6440 Pharaoh. H6547
And Joseph H3130 brought in H935 Jacob H3290 his father, H1 and set him H5975 before H6440 Pharaoh: H6547 and Jacob H3290 blessed H1288 Pharaoh. H6547
And he said, H559 Bring it near H5066 to me, and I will eat H398 of my son's H1121 venison, H6718 that my soul H5315 may bless H1288 thee. And he brought it near H5066 to him, and he did eat: H398 and he brought H935 him wine, H3196 and he drank. H8354 And his father H1 Isaac H3327 said H559 unto him, Come near H5066 now, and kiss H5401 me, my son. H1121 And he came near, H5066 and kissed H5401 him: and he smelled H7306 the smell H7381 of his raiment, H899 and blessed H1288 him, and said, H559 See, H7200 the smell H7381 of my son H1121 is as the smell H7381 of a field H7704 which the LORD H3068 hath blessed: H1288 Therefore God H430 give H5414 thee of the dew H2919 of heaven, H8064 and the fatness H4924 of the earth, H776 and plenty H7230 of corn H1715 and wine: H8492 Let people H5971 serve H5647 thee, and nations H3816 bow down H7812 to thee: be H1933 lord H1376 over thy brethren, H251 and let thy mother's H517 sons H1121 bow down H7812 to thee: cursed H779 be every one that curseth H779 thee, and blessed H1288 be he that blesseth H1288 thee.

Commentary on Genesis 14 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 14
We have four things in the story of this chapter.
Gen 14:1-12

Gen 14:13-16
We have here an account of the only military action we ever find Abram engaged in, and this he was prompted to, not by his avarice or ambition, but purely by a principle of charity; it was not to enrich himself, but to help his friend. Never was any military expedition undertaken, prosecuted, and finished, more honourably than this of Abram's. Here we have,
Gen 14:17-20
This paragraph begins with the mention of the respect which the king of Sodom paid to Abram at his return from the slaughter of the kings; but, before a particular account is given of this, the story of Melchizedek is briefly related, concerning whom observe,
Gen 14:21-24
We have here an account of what passed between Abram and the king of Sodom, who succeeded him that fell in the battle (v. 10), and thought himself obliged to do this honour to Abram, in return for the good services he had done him. Here is,
