3 And Abraham H85 called H7121 the name H8034 of his son H1121 that was born H3205 unto him, whom Sarah H8283 bare H3205 to him, Isaac. H3327
And God H430 said, H559 Sarah H8283 thy wife H802 shall bear H3205 thee a son H1121 indeed; H61 and thou shalt call H7121 his name H8034 Isaac: H3327 and I will establish H6965 my covenant H1285 with him for an everlasting H5769 covenant, H1285 and with his seed H2233 after him. H310
And Sarah H8283 said, H559 God H430 hath made H6213 me to laugh, H6712 so that all that hear H8085 will laugh H6711 with me.
And God H430 said H559 unto Abraham, H85 Let it not be grievous H3415 in thy sight H5869 because of the lad, H5288 and because of thy bondwoman; H519 in all that Sarah H8283 hath said H559 unto thee, hearken H8085 unto her voice; H6963 for in Isaac H3327 shall thy seed H2233 be called. H7121
And he said, H559 Take now H3947 thy son, H1121 thine only H3173 son Isaac, H3327 whom thou lovest, H157 and get thee H3212 into the land H776 of Moriah; H4179 and offer him H5927 there for a burnt offering H5930 upon one H259 of the mountains H2022 which I will tell H559 thee of.
And G2532 he gave G1325 him G846 the covenant G1242 of circumcision: G4061 and G2532 so G3779 Abraham begat G1080 Isaac, G2464 and G2532 circumcised G4059 him G846 the eighth G3590 day; G2250 and G2532 Isaac G2464 begat Jacob; G2384 and G2532 Jacob G2384 begat the twelve G1427 patriarchs. G3966

Gen 21:9-13
The casting out of Ishmael is here considered of, and resolved on.
Gen 21:14-21
Here is,
Gen 21:22-32
We have here an account of the treaty between Abimelech and Abraham, in which appears the accomplishment of that promise (ch. 12:2) that God would make his name great. His friendship is valued, is courted, though a stranger, though a tenant at will to the Canaanites and Perizzites.
Gen 21:33-34
