9 And he dreamed H2492 yet another H312 dream, H2472 and told H5608 it his brethren, H251 and said, H559 Behold, I have dreamed H2492 a dream H2472 more; and, behold, the sun H8121 and the moon H3394 and the eleven H6240 H259 stars H3556 made obeisance H7812 to me.
And G2532 the patriarchs, G3966 moved with envy, G2206 sold G591 Joseph G2501 into G1519 Egypt: G125 but G2532 God G2316 was G2258 with G3326 him, G846 And G2532 delivered G1807 him G846 out of G1537 all G3956 his G846 afflictions, G2347 and G2532 gave G1325 him G846 favour G5485 and G2532 wisdom G4678 in the sight G1726 of Pharaoh G5328 king G935 of Egypt; G125 and G2532 he made G2525 him G846 governor G2233 over G1909 Egypt G125 and G2532 all G3650 his G846 house. G3624 Now G1161 there came G2064 a dearth G3042 over G1909 all G3650 the land G1093 of Egypt G125 and G2532 Chanaan, G5477 and G2532 great G3173 affliction: G2347 and G2532 our G2257 fathers G3962 found G2147 no G3756 sustenance. G5527 But G1161 when Jacob G2384 heard G191 that there was G5607 corn G4621 in G1722 Egypt, G125 he sent out G1821 our G2257 fathers G3962 first. G4412 And G2532 at G1722 the second G1208 time Joseph G2501 was made known G319 to his G846 brethren; G80 and G2532 Joseph's G2501 kindred G1085 was made G1096 known G5318 unto Pharaoh. G5328 Then G1161 sent G649 Joseph, G2501 and called G3333 his G846 father G3962 Jacob G2384 to him, and G2532 all G3956 his G846 kindred, G4772 G1722 threescore G1440 and fifteen G4002 souls. G5590
For, behold, we were binding H481 H8432 sheaves H485 in the field, H7704 and, lo, my sheaf H485 arose, H6965 and also stood upright; H5324 and, behold, your sheaves H485 stood round about, H5437 and made obeisance H7812 to my sheaf. H485
And he told H5608 it to his father, H1 and to his brethren: H251 and his father H1 rebuked H1605 him, and said H559 unto him, What is this dream H2472 that thou hast dreamed? H2492 Shall I and thy mother H517 and thy brethren H251 indeed H935 come H935 to bow down H7812 ourselves to thee to the earth? H776
And Joseph H3130 said H559 unto Pharaoh, H6547 The dream H2472 of Pharaoh H6547 is one: H259 God H430 hath shewed H5046 Pharaoh H6547 what he is about to do. H6213
And Judah H3063 and his brethren H251 came H935 to Joseph's H3130 house; H1004 for he was yet there: and they fell H5307 before him H6440 on the ground. H776
And Joseph H3130 made ready H631 his chariot, H4818 and went up H5927 to meet H7125 Israel H3478 his father, H1 to Goshen, H1657 and presented H7200 himself unto him; and he fell H5307 on his neck, H6677 and wept H1058 on his neck H6677 a good while. H5750
And Joseph H3130 nourished H3557 his father, H1 and his brethren, H251 and all his father's H1 household, H1004 with bread, H3899 according H6310 to their families. H2945
And when Joseph's H3130 brethren H251 saw H7200 that their father H1 was dead, H4191 they said, H559 Joseph H3130 will peradventure H3863 hate us, H7852 and will certainly H7725 requite H7725 us all the evil H7451 which we did H1580 unto him. And they sent a messenger H6680 unto Joseph, H3130 saying, H559 Thy father H1 did command H6680 before H6440 he died, H4194 saying, H559 So shall ye say H559 unto Joseph, H3130 Forgive, H5375 I pray thee H577 now, the trespass H6588 of thy brethren, H251 and their sin; H2403 for they did H1580 unto thee evil: H7451 and now, we pray thee, forgive H5375 the trespass H6588 of the servants H5650 of the God H430 of thy father. H1 And Joseph H3130 wept H1058 when they spake H1696 unto him. And his brethren H251 also went H3212 and fell down H5307 before his face; H6440 and they said, H559 Behold, we be thy servants. H5650 And Joseph H3130 said H559 unto them, Fear H3372 not: for am I in the place of God? H430 But as for you, ye thought H2803 evil H7451 against me; but God H430 meant it H2803 unto good, H2896 to H4616 bring to pass, H6213 as it is this day, H3117 to save H2421 much H7227 people H5971 alive. H2421 Now therefore fear H3372 ye not: I will nourish H3557 you, and your little ones. H2945 And he comforted H5162 them, and spake H1696 kindly H3820 unto them.
And it waxed great, H1431 even to the host H6635 of heaven; H8064 and it cast down H5307 some of the host H6635 and of the stars H3556 to the ground, H776 and stamped H7429 upon them.
That G2443 ye may be G1096 blameless G273 and G2532 harmless, G185 the sons G5043 of God, G2316 without rebuke, G298 in G1722 the midst G3319 of a crooked G4646 and G2532 perverse G1294 nation, G1074 among G1722 whom G3739 ye shine G5316 as G5613 lights G5458 in G1722 the world; G2889

Commentary on Genesis 37 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 37
At this chapter begins the story of Joseph, who, in every subsequent chapter but one to the end of this book, makes the greatest figure. He was Jacob's eldest son by his beloved wife Rachel, born, as many eminent men were, of a mother that had been long barren. His story is so remarkably divided between his humiliation and his exaltation that we cannot avoid seeing something of Christ in it, who was first humbled and then exalted, and, in many instances, so as to answer the type of Joseph. It also shows the lot of Christians, who must through many tribulations enter into the kingdom. In this chapter we have,
Gen 37:1-4
Moses has no more to say of the Edomites, unless as they happen to fall in Israel's way; but now applies himself closely to the story of Jacob's family: These are the generations of Jacob. His is not a bare barren genealogy as that of Esau (ch. 36:1), but a memorable useful history. Here is,

We have here the execution of their plot against Joseph.
