29 This also cometh forth H3318 from the LORD H3068 of hosts, H6635 which is wonderful H6381 in counsel, H6098 and excellent H1431 in working. H8454
For unto us a child H3206 is born, H3205 unto us a son H1121 is given: H5414 and the government H4951 shall be upon his shoulder: H7926 and his name H8034 shall be called H7121 Wonderful, H6382 Counsellor, H3289 The mighty H1368 God, H410 The everlasting H5703 Father, H1 The Prince H8269 of Peace. H7965
O G5599 the depth G899 of the riches G4149 both G2532 of the wisdom G4678 and G2532 knowledge G1108 of God! G2316 how G5613 unsearchable G419 are his G846 judgments, G2917 and G2532 his G846 ways G3598 past finding out! G421
Which doeth H6213 great things H1419 and unsearchable; H369 H2714 marvellous things H6381 without number: H4557
Touching the Almighty, H7706 we cannot find him out: H4672 he is excellent H7689 in power, H3581 and in judgment, H4941 and in plenty H7230 of justice: H6666 he will not afflict. H6031
Many, H7227 O LORD H3068 my God, H430 are thy wonderful H6381 works which thou hast done, H6213 and thy thoughts H4284 which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order H6186 unto thee: if I would declare H5046 and speak H1696 of them, they are more H6105 than can be numbered. H5608
O LORD, H3068 how great H1431 are thy works! H4639 and thy thoughts H4284 are very H3966 deep. H6009
For the LORD H3068 shall rise up H6965 as in mount H2022 Perazim, H6559 he shall be wroth H7264 as in the valley H6010 of Gibeon, H1391 that he may do H6213 his work, H4639 his strange H2114 work; H4639 and bring to pass H5647 his act, H5656 his strange H5237 act. H5656 Now therefore be ye not mockers, H3887 lest your bands H4147 be made strong: H2388 for I have heard H8085 from the Lord H136 GOD H3069 of hosts H6635 a consumption, H3617 even determined H2782 upon the whole earth. H776
I thought H6925 it good H8232 to shew H2324 the signs H852 and wonders H8540 that the high H5943 God H426 hath wrought H5648 toward H5974 me. How H4101 great H7260 are his signs! H852 and how H4101 mighty H8624 are his wonders! H8540 his kingdom H4437 is an everlasting H5957 kingdom, H4437 and his dominion H7985 is from H5974 generation H1859 to generation. H1859

Commentary on Isaiah 28 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 28
In this chapter,
This is written for our admonition, and is profitable for reproof and warning to us.
Isa 28:1-8
Here,
Isa 28:9-13
The prophet here complains of the wretched stupidity of this people, that they were unteachable and made no improvement of the means of grace which they possessed; they still continued as they were, their mistakes not rectified, their hearts not renewed, nor their lives reformed. Observe,
Isa 28:14-22
The prophet, having reproved those that made a jest of the word of God, here goes on to reprove those that made a jest of the judgments of God, and set them at defiance; for he is a jealous God, and will not suffer either his ordinances or his providences to be brought into contempt. He addressed himself to the scornful men who ruled in Jerusalem, who were the magistrates of the city, v. 14. It is bad with a people when their thrones of judgment become the seats of the scornful, when rulers are scorners; but that the rulers of Jerusalem should be men of such a character, that they should make light of God's judgments and scorn to take notice of the tokens of his displeasure, is very sad. Who will be mourners in Zion if they are scorners? Observe,
Isa 28:23-29
This parable, which (like many of our Saviour's parables) is borrowed from the husbandman's calling, is ushered in with a solemn preface demanding attention, He that has ears to hear, let him hear, hear and understand, v. 23.
