7 For the Egyptians H4714 shall help H5826 in vain, H1892 and to no purpose: H7385 therefore have I cried H7121 concerning this, H2063 Their H1992 strength H7293 is to sit still. H7674
Thou didst cause judgment H1779 to be heard H8085 from heaven; H8064 the earth H776 feared, H3372 and was still, H8252 When God H430 arose H6965 to judgment, H4941 to save H3467 all the meek H6035 of the earth. H776 Selah. H5542
It is better H2896 to trust H2620 in the LORD H3068 than to put confidence H982 in man. H120 It is better H2896 to trust H2620 in the LORD H3068 than to put confidence H982 in princes. H5081
Woe H1945 to them that go down H3381 to Egypt H4714 for help; H5833 and stay H8172 on horses, H5483 and trust H982 in chariots, H7393 because they are many; H7227 and in horsemen, H6571 because they are very H3966 strong; H6105 but they look H8159 not unto the Holy One H6918 of Israel, H3478 neither seek H1875 the LORD! H3068 Yet he also is wise, H2450 and will bring H935 evil, H7451 and will not call back H5493 his words: H1697 but will arise H6965 against the house H1004 of the evildoers, H7489 and against the help H5833 of them that work H6466 iniquity. H205 Now the Egyptians H4714 are men, H120 and not God; H410 and their horses H5483 flesh, H1320 and not spirit. H7307 When the LORD H3068 shall stretch out H5186 his hand, H3027 both he that helpeth H5826 shall fall, H3782 and he that is holpen H5826 shall fall down, H5307 and they all shall fail H3615 together. H3162 For thus hath the LORD H3068 spoken H559 unto me, Like as the lion H738 and the young lion H3715 roaring H1897 on his prey, H2964 when a multitude H4393 of shepherds H7462 is called forth H7121 against him, he will not be afraid H2865 of their voice, H6963 nor abase H6031 himself for the noise H1995 of them: so shall the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 come down H3381 to fight H6633 for mount H2022 Zion, H6726 and for the hill H1389 thereof. As birds H6833 flying, H5774 so will the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 defend H1598 Jerusalem; H3389 defending H1598 also he will deliver H5337 it; and passing over H6452 he will preserve H4422 it.

Commentary on Isaiah 30 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 30
The prophecy of this chapter seems to relate (as that in the foregoing chapter) to the approaching danger of Jerusalem and desolations of Judah by Sennacherib's invasion. Here is,
Isa 30:1-7
It was often the fault and folly of the people of the Jews that, when they were insulted by their neighbours on one side, they sought for succour from their neighbours on the other side, instead of looking up to God and putting their confidence in him. Against the Israelites they sought to the Syrians, 2 Chr. 16:2, 3. Against the Syrians they sought to the Assyrians, 2 Ki. 16:7. Against the Assyrians they here sought to the Egyptians, and Rabshakeh upbraided them with so doing, 2 Ki. 18:21. Now observe here,
Isa 30:8-17
Here,
Isa 30:18-26
The closing words of the foregoing paragraph (You shall be left as a beacon upon a mountain) some understand as a promise that a remnant of them should be reserved as monuments of mercy; and here the prophet tells them what good times should succeed these calamities. Or the first words in this paragraph may be read by way of antithesis, Notwithstanding this, yet will the Lord wait that he may be gracious. The prophet, having shown that those who made Egypt their confidence would be ashamed of it, here shows that those who sat still and made God alone their confidence would have the comfort of it. It is matter of comfort to the people of God, when the times are very bad, that all will be well yet, well with those that fear God, when we say to the wicked, It shall be ill with you.
Isa 30:27-33
This terrible prediction of the ruin of the Assyrian army, though it is a threatening to them, is part of the promise to the Israel of God, that God would not only punish the Assyrians for the mischief they had done to the Israel of God, but would disable and deter them from doing the like again; and this prediction, which would now shortly be accomplished, would ratify and confirm the foregoing promises, which should be accomplished in the latter days. Here is,
