3 And they said H559 unto him, Thus saith H559 Hezekiah, H2396 This day H3117 is a day H3117 of trouble, H6869 and of rebuke, H8433 and of blasphemy: H5007 for the children H1121 are come H935 to the birth, H4866 and there is not strength H3581 to bring forth. H3205
The sorrows H2256 of a travailing woman H3205 shall come H935 upon him: he is an unwise H2450 son; H1121 for he should not stay H5975 long H6256 in the place of the breaking forth H4866 of children. H1121
Shall I bring to the birth, H7665 and not cause to bring forth? H3205 saith H559 the LORD: H3068 shall I H589 cause to bring forth, H3205 and shut H6113 the womb? saith H559 thy God. H430
Like H3644 as a woman with child, H2030 that draweth near H7126 the time of her delivery, H3205 is in pain, H2342 and crieth out H2199 in her pangs; H2256 so have we been in thy sight, H6440 O LORD. H3068 We have been with child, H2029 we have been in pain, H2342 we have as it were H3644 brought forth H3205 wind; H7307 we have not wrought H6213 any deliverance H3444 in the earth; H776 neither H1077 have the inhabitants H3427 of the world H8398 fallen. H5307
O LORD, H3068 be gracious H2603 unto us; we have waited H6960 for thee: be thou their arm H2220 every morning, H1242 our salvation H3444 also in the time H6256 of trouble. H6869
And call H7121 upon me in the day H3117 of trouble: H6869 I will deliver H2502 thee, and thou shalt glorify H3513 me.
The sorrows H2256 of death H4194 compassed H661 me, and the pains H4712 of hell H7585 gat hold H4672 upon me: I found H4672 trouble H6869 and sorrow. H3015 Then called H7121 I upon the name H8034 of the LORD; H3068 O LORD, H3068 I beseech H577 thee, deliver H4422 my soul. H5315
For it is a day H3117 of trouble, H4103 and of treading down, H4001 and of perplexity H3998 by the Lord H136 GOD H3069 of hosts H6635 in the valley H1516 of vision, H2384 breaking H6979 down the walls, H7023 and of crying H7771 to the mountains. H2022

Commentary on Isaiah 37 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 37
In this chapter we have a further repetition of the story which we had before in the book of Kings concerning Sennacherib. In the foregoing chapter we had him conquering and threatening to conquer. In this chapter we have him falling, and at last fallen, in answer to prayer, and in fulfillment of many of the prophecies which we have met with in the foregoing chapters. Here we have,
Isa 37:1-7
We may observe here,
Isa 37:8-20
We may observe here,
Isa 37:21-38
