8 Who are these that fly H5774 as a cloud, H5645 and as the doves H3123 to their windows? H699
Also he sent forth H7971 a dove H3123 from him, to see H7200 if the waters H4325 were abated H7043 from off the face H6440 of the ground; H127 But the dove H3123 found H4672 no rest H4494 for the sole H3709 of her foot, H7272 and she returned H7725 unto him into the ark, H8392 for the waters H4325 were on the face H6440 of the whole earth: H776 then he put forth H7971 his hand, H3027 and took her, H3947 and pulled her in H935 unto him into the ark. H8392 And he stayed H2342 yet other H312 seven H7651 days; H3117 and again H3254 he sent forth H7971 the dove H3123 out of the ark; H8392 And the dove H3123 came in H935 to him in the evening; H6256 H6153 and, lo, in her mouth H6310 was an olive H2132 leaf H5929 pluckt off: H2965 so Noah H5146 knew H3045 that the waters H4325 were abated H7043 from off the earth. H776
Look H6437 unto me, and be ye saved, H3467 all the ends H657 of the earth: H776 for I am God, H410 and there is none else.
Then shalt thou say H559 in thine heart, H3824 Who hath begotten H3205 me these, seeing I have lost my children, H7921 and am desolate, H1565 a captive, H1540 and removing to and fro? H5493 and who hath brought up H1431 these? Behold, I was left H7604 alone; these, where H375 had they been?
Lift up H5375 thine eyes H5869 round about, H5439 and see: H7200 all they gather themselves together, H6908 they come H935 to thee: thy sons H1121 shall come H935 from far, H7350 and thy daughters H1323 shall be nursed H539 at thy side. H6654
And G2532 they shall come G2240 from G575 the east, G395 and G2532 from the west, G1424 and G2532 from G575 the north, G1005 and G2532 from the south, G3558 and G2532 shall sit down G347 in G1722 the kingdom G932 of God. G2316
Wherefore G5105 seeing we also G2532 are G2192 compassed about G4029 G2254 with so great G5118 a cloud G3509 of witnesses, G3144 let G659 us G2249 lay aside G659 every G3956 weight, G3591 and G2532 the sin G266 which doth so easily beset G2139 us, and let us run G5143 with G1223 patience G5281 the race G73 that is set before G4295 us, G2254
After G3326 this G5023 I beheld, G1492 and, G2532 lo, G2400 a great G4183 multitude, G3793 which G3739 no man G3762 could G1410 number, G705 G846 of G1537 all G3956 nations, G1484 and G2532 kindreds, G5443 and G2532 people, G2992 and G2532 tongues, G1100 stood G2476 before G1799 the throne, G2362 and G2532 before G1799 the Lamb, G721 clothed G4016 with white G3022 robes, G4749 and G2532 palms G5404 in G1722 their G846 hands; G5495

Commentary on Isaiah 60 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 60
This whole chapter is all to the same purport, all in the same strain; it is a part of God's covenant with his church, which is spoken of in the last verse of the foregoing chapter, and the blessings here promised are the fruits of the word and Spirit there promised. The long continuance of the church, even unto the utmost ages of time, was there promised, and here the large extent of the church, even unto the utmost regions of the earth; and both these tend to the honour of the Redeemer. It is here promised,
Now this has some reference to the peaceable and prosperous condition which the Jews were sometimes in after their return out of captivity into their own land; but it certainly looks further, and was to have its full accomplishment in the kingdom of the Messiah, the enlargement of that kingdom by the bringing in of the Gentiles into it, and the spiritual blessings in heavenly things by Christ Jesus with which it should be enriched, and all these earnests of eternal joy and glory.
Isa 60:1-8
It is here promised that the gospel temple shall be very lightsome and very large.
Isa 60:9-14
The promises made to the church in the foregoing verses are here repeated, ratified, and enlarged upon, designed still for the comfort and encouragement of the Jews after their return out of captivity, but certainly looking further, to the enlargement and advancement of the gospel church and the abundance of spiritual blessings with which it shall be enriched.
Isa 60:15-22
The happy and glorious state of the church is here further foretold, referring principally and ultimately to the Christian church and the spiritual peace of that, but under the type of that little gleam of outward peace which the Jews sometimes enjoyed after their return out of captivity. This is here spoken of,
