9 Be not wroth H7107 very sore, H3966 O LORD, H3068 neither remember H2142 iniquity H5771 for ever: H5703 behold, see, H5027 we beseech thee, we are all thy people. H5971
So we thy people H5971 and sheep H6629 of thy pasture H4830 will give thee thanks H3034 for ever: H5769 we will shew forth H5608 thy praise H8416 to all H1755 generations. H1755
[[Maschil H4905 of Asaph.]] H623 O God, H430 why hast thou cast us off H2186 for ever? H5331 why doth thine anger H639 smoke H6225 against the sheep H6629 of thy pasture? H4830 Remember H2142 thy congregation, H5712 which thou hast purchased H7069 of old; H6924 the rod H7626 of thine inheritance, H5159 which thou hast redeemed; H1350 this mount H2022 Zion, H6726 wherein thou hast dwelt. H7931
And G2532 the devil G1228 that deceived G4105 them G846 was cast G906 into G1519 the lake G3041 of fire G4442 and G2532 brimstone, G2303 where G3699 the beast G2342 and G2532 the false prophet G5578 are, and G2532 shall be tormented G928 day G2250 and G2532 night G3571 for G1519 ever G165 and ever. G165
These G3778 are G1526 wells G4077 without water, G504 clouds G3507 that are carried G1643 with G5259 a tempest; G2978 to whom G3739 the mist G2217 of darkness G4655 is reserved G5083 for G1519 ever. G165
Whereas Edom H123 saith, H559 We are impoverished, H7567 but we will return H7725 and build H1129 the desolate places; H2723 thus saith H559 the LORD H3068 of hosts, H6635 They shall build, H1129 but I will throw down; H2040 and they shall call H7121 them, The border H1366 of wickedness, H7564 and, The people H5971 against whom the LORD H3068 hath indignation H2194 for H5704 ever. H5769
O LORD, H3068 I have heard H8085 thy speech, H8088 and was afraid: H3372 O LORD, H3068 revive H2421 thy work H6467 in the midst H7130 of the years, H8141 in the midst H7130 of the years H8141 make known; H3045 in wrath H7267 remember H2142 mercy. H7355
Who is a God H410 like unto thee, that pardoneth H5375 iniquity, H5771 and passeth by H5674 the transgression H6588 of the remnant H7611 of his heritage? H5159 he retaineth H2388 not his anger H639 for ever, H5703 because he delighteth H2654 in mercy. H2617 He will turn again, H7725 he will have compassion H7355 upon us; he will subdue H3533 our iniquities; H5771 and thou wilt cast H7993 all their sins H2403 into the depths H4688 of the sea. H3220 Thou wilt perform H5414 the truth H571 to Jacob, H3290 and the mercy H2617 to Abraham, H85 which thou hast sworn H7650 unto our fathers H1 from the days H3117 of old. H6924
[[To the chief Musician H5329 on Neginoth H5058 upon Sheminith, H8067 A Psalm H4210 of David.]] H1732 O LORD, H3068 rebuke H3198 me not in thine anger, H639 neither chasten H3256 me in thy hot displeasure. H2534
Go H1980 and proclaim H7121 these words H1697 toward the north, H6828 and say, H559 Return, H7725 thou backsliding H4878 Israel, H3478 saith H5002 the LORD; H3068 and I will not cause mine anger H6440 to fall H5307 upon you: for I am merciful, H2623 saith H5002 the LORD, H3068 and I will not keep H5201 anger for ever. H5769
And the sons H1121 of strangers H5236 shall build up H1129 thy walls, H2346 and their kings H4428 shall minister H8334 unto thee: for in my wrath H7110 I smote H5221 thee, but in my favour H7522 have I had mercy H7355 on thee.
I am thine, save H3467 me; for I have sought H1875 thy precepts. H6490
How long, LORD? H3068 wilt thou be angry H599 for ever? H5331 shall thy jealousy H7068 burn H1197 like fire? H784 Pour out H8210 thy wrath H2534 upon the heathen H1471 that have not known H3045 thee, and upon the kingdoms H4467 that have not called H7121 upon thy name. H8034 For they have devoured H398 Jacob, H3290 and laid waste H8074 his dwelling place. H5116 O remember H2142 not against us former H7223 iniquities: H5771 let thy tender mercies H7356 speedily H4118 prevent H6923 us: for we are brought H1809 very H3966 low. H1809 Help H5826 us, O God H430 of our salvation, H3468 for H1697 the glory H3519 of thy name: H8034 and deliver H5337 us, and purge away H3722 our sins, H2403 for thy name's H8034 sake.

Commentary on Isaiah 64 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 64
This chapter goes on with that pathetic pleading prayer which the church offered up to God in the latter part of the foregoing chapter. They had argued from their covenant-relation to God and his interest and concern in them; now here,
And this was not only intended for the use of the captive Jews, but may serve for direction to the church in other times of distress, what to ask of God and how to plead with him. Are God's people at any time in affliction, in great affliction? Let them pray, let them thus pray.

Isa 64:6-12
As we have the Lamentations of Jeremiah, so here we have the Lamentations of Isaiah; the subject of both is the same-the destruction of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans and the sin of Israel that brought that destruction-only with this difference, Isaiah sees it at a distance and laments it by the Spirit of prophecy, Jeremiah saw it accomplished.
