16 The portion H2506 of Jacob H3290 is not like them: for he is the former H3335 of all things; and Israel H3478 is the rod H7626 of his inheritance: H5159 The LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 is his name. H8034
For the LORD'S H3068 portion H2506 is his people; H5971 Jacob H3290 is the lot H2256 of his inheritance. H5159
Thou shewest H6213 lovingkindness H2617 unto thousands, H505 and recompensest H7999 the iniquity H5771 of the fathers H1 into the bosom H2436 of their children H1121 after H310 them: the Great, H1419 the Mighty H1368 God, H410 the LORD H3068 of hosts, H6635 is his name, H8034
Thus saith H559 the LORD, H3068 which giveth H5414 the sun H8121 for a light H216 by day, H3119 and the ordinances H2708 of the moon H3394 and of the stars H3556 for a light H216 by night, H3915 which divideth H7280 the sea H3220 when the waves H1530 thereof roar; H1993 The LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 is his name: H8034
Remember H2142 thy congregation, H5712 which thou hast purchased H7069 of old; H6924 the rod H7626 of thine inheritance, H5159 which thou hast redeemed; H1350 this mount H2022 Zion, H6726 wherein thou hast dwelt. H7931
CHETH. Thou art my portion, H2506 O LORD: H3068 I have said H559 that I would keep H8104 thy words. H1697
Their Redeemer H1350 is strong; H2389 the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 is his name: H8034 he shall throughly H7378 plead H7378 their cause, H7379 that he may give rest H7280 to the land, H776 and disquiet H7264 the inhabitants H3427 of Babylon. H894
My flesh H7607 and my heart H3824 faileth: H3615 but God H430 is the strength H6697 of my heart, H3824 and my portion H2506 for ever. H5769
But I am the LORD H3068 thy God, H430 that divided H7280 the sea, H3220 whose waves H1530 roared: H1993 The LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 is his name. H8034

Commentary on Jeremiah 10 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 10
We may conjecture that the prophecy of this chapter was delivered after the first captivity, in the time of Jeconiah or Jehoiachin, when many were carried away to Babylon; for it has a double reference:-
Jer 10:1-16
The prophet Isaiah, when he prophesied of the captivity in Babylon, added warnings against idolatry and largely exposed the sottishness of idolaters, not only because the temptations in Babylon would be in danger of drawing the Jews there to idolatry, but because the afflictions in Babylon were designed to cure them of their idolatry. Thus the prophet Jeremiah here arms people against the idolatrous usages and customs of the heathen, not only for the use of those that had gone to Babylon, but of those also that staid behind, that being convinced and reclaimed, by the word of God, the rod might be prevented; and it is written for our learning. Observe here,
Jer 10:17-25
