2 And it shall come to pass, if they say H559 unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? H3318 then thou shalt tell H559 them, Thus saith H559 the LORD; H3068 Such as are for death, H4194 to death; H4194 and such as are for the sword, H2719 to the sword; H2719 and such as are for the famine, H7458 to the famine; H7458 and such as are for the captivity, H7628 to the captivity. H7628
And when he cometh, H935 he shall smite H5221 the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 and deliver such as are for death H4194 to death; H4194 and such as are for captivity H7628 to captivity; H7628 and such as are for the sword H2719 to the sword. H2719
When they fast, H6684 I will not hear H8085 their cry; H7440 and when they offer H5927 burnt offering H5930 and an oblation, H4503 I will not accept H7521 them: but I will consume H3615 them by the sword, H2719 and by the famine, H7458 and by the pestilence. H1698
A third part H7992 of thee shall die H4191 with the pestilence, H1698 and with famine H7458 shall they be consumed H3615 in the midst H8432 of thee: and a third part H7992 shall fall H5307 by the sword H2719 round about H5439 thee; and I will scatter H2219 a third part H7992 into all the winds, H7307 and I will draw out H7324 a sword H2719 after H310 them.
Then said H559 I, I will not feed H7462 you: that that dieth, H4191 let it die; H4191 and that that is to be cut off, H3582 let it be cut off; H3582 and let the rest H7604 eat H398 every one H802 the flesh H1320 of another. H7468
Thou shalt burn H1197 with fire H217 a third part H7992 in the midst H8432 of the city, H5892 when the days H3117 of the siege H4692 are fulfilled: H4390 and thou shalt take H3947 a third part, H7992 and smite H5221 about H5439 it with a knife: H2719 and a third part H7992 thou shalt scatter H2219 in the wind; H7307 and I will draw out H7324 a sword H2719 after H310 them.
And he hath confirmed H6965 his words, H1697 which he spake H1696 against us, and against our judges H8199 that judged H8199 us, by bringing H935 upon us a great H1419 evil: H7451 for under the whole heaven H8064 hath not been done H6213 as hath been done H6213 upon Jerusalem. H3389
As if a man H376 did flee H5127 from H6440 a lion, H738 and a bear H1677 met H6293 him; or went H935 into the house, H1004 and leaned H5564 his hand H3027 on the wall, H7023 and a serpent H5175 bit H5391 him.
And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth H5127 from the noise H6963 of the fear H6343 shall fall H5307 into the pit; H6354 and he that cometh up H5927 out of the midst H8432 of the pit H6354 shall be taken H3920 in the snare: H6341 for the windows H699 from on high H4791 are open, H6605 and the foundations H4146 of the earth H776 do shake. H7493
And I will deliver H5414 them to be removed H2189 H2113 into all the kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776 for their hurt, H7451 to be a reproach H2781 and a proverb, H4912 a taunt H8148 and a curse, H7045 in all places H4725 whither I shall drive H5080 them. And I will send H7971 the sword, H2719 the famine, H7458 and the pestilence, H1698 among them, till they be consumed H8552 from off the land H127 that I gave H5414 unto them and to their fathers. H1
For thus saith H559 the Lord H136 GOD; H3069 How much more when I send H7971 my four H702 sore H7451 judgments H8201 upon Jerusalem, H3389 the sword, H2719 and the famine, H7458 and the noisome H7451 beast, H2416 and the pestilence, H1698 to cut off H3772 from it man H120 and beast? H929
And G2532 when G3753 he had opened G455 the second G1208 seal, G4973 I heard G191 the second G1208 beast G2226 say, G3004 Come G2064 and G2532 see. G991 And G2532 there went out G1831 another G243 horse G2462 that was red: G4450 and G2532 power was given G1325 to him G846 that sat G2521 thereon G1909 G846 to take G2983 peace G1515 from G575 the earth, G1093 and G2532 that G2443 they should kill G4969 one another: G240 and G2532 there was given G1325 unto him G846 a great G3173 sword. G3162 And G2532 when G3753 he had opened G455 the third G5154 seal, G4973 I heard G191 the third G5154 beast G2226 say, G3004 Come G2064 and G2532 see. G991 And G2532 I beheld, G1492 and G2532 lo G2400 a black G3189 horse; G2462 and G2532 he that sat G2521 on G1909 him G846 had G2192 a pair of balances G2218 in G1722 his G846 hand. G5495 And G2532 I heard G191 a voice G5456 in G1722 the midst G3319 of the four G5064 beasts G2226 say, G3004 A measure G5518 of wheat G4621 for a penny, G1220 and G2532 three G5140 measures G5518 of barley G2915 for a penny; G1220 and G2532 see thou hurt G91 not G3361 the oil G1637 and G2532 the wine. G3631 And G2532 when G3753 he had opened G455 the fourth G5067 seal, G4973 I heard G191 the voice G5456 of the fourth G5067 beast G2226 say, G3004 Come G2064 and G2532 see. G991 And G2532 I looked, G1492 and G2532 behold G2400 a pale G5515 horse: G2462 and G2532 his G846 name G3686 that sat G2521 on G1883 him G846 was Death, G2288 and G2532 Hell G86 followed G190 with G3326 him. G846 And G2532 power G1849 was given G1325 unto them G846 over G1909 the fourth part G5067 of the earth, G1093 to kill G615 with G1722 sword, G4501 and G2532 with G1722 hunger, G3042 and G2532 with G1722 death, G2288 and G2532 with G5259 the beasts G2342 of the earth. G1093
He that G1536 leadeth G4863 into captivity G161 shall go G5217 into G1519 captivity: G161 he that G1536 killeth G615 with G1722 the sword G3162 must G1163 be killed G615 with G1722 the sword. G3162 Here G5602 is G2076 the patience G5281 and G2532 the faith G4102 of the saints. G40

Commentary on Jeremiah 15 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 15
When we left the prophet, in the close of the foregoing chapter, so pathetically poring out his prayers before God, we had reason to hope that in this chapter we should find God reconciled to the land and the prophet brought into a quiet composed frame; but, to our great surprise, we find it much otherwise as to both.
Jer 15:1-9
We scarcely find any where more pathetic expressions of divine wrath against a provoking people than we have here in these verses. The prophet had prayed earnestly for them, and found some among them to join with him; and yet not so much as a reprieve was gained, nor the least mitigation of the judgment; but this answer is given to the prophet's prayers, that the decree had gone forth, was irreversible, and would shortly be executed. Observe here,
Jer 15:10-14
Jeremiah has now returned from his public work and retired into his closet; what passed between him and his God there we have an account of in these and the following verses, which he published afterwards, to affect the people with the weight and importance of his messages to them. Here is,
Jer 15:15-21
Here, as before, we have,
