15 And G2532 I am glad G5463 for G1223 your sakes G5209 that G3754 I was G2252 G2258 not G3756 there, G1563 to the intent G2443 ye may believe; G4100 nevertheless G235 let us go G71 unto G4314 him. G846
Therefore G1223 G5124 I endure G5278 all things G3956 for G1588 the elect's G1588 sakes, G1223 that G2443 they G846 may G5177 also G2532 obtain G5177 the salvation G4991 which G3588 is in G1722 Christ G5547 Jesus G2424 with G3326 eternal G166 glory. G1391
And the LORD H3068 appeared H7200 unto him the same night, H3915 and said, H559 I am the God H430 of Abraham H85 thy father: H1 fear H3372 not, for I am with H854 thee, and will bless H1288 thee, and multiply H7235 thy seed H2233 for my servant H5650 Abraham's H85 sake.
And it came to pass from the time H227 that he had made him overseer H6485 in his house, H1004 and over all that he had, H3426 that the LORD H3068 blessed H1288 the Egyptian's H4713 house H1004 for Joseph's H3130 sake; H1558 and the blessing H1293 of the LORD H3068 was upon all that he had H3426 in the house, H1004 and in the field. H7704
He suffered H3240 no man H120 to do them wrong: H6231 yea, he reproved H3198 kings H4428 for their sakes;
This G5026 beginning G746 of miracles G4592 did G4160 Jesus G2424 in G1722 Cana G2580 of Galilee, G1056 and G2532 manifested forth G5319 his G846 glory; G1391 and G2532 his G846 disciples G3101 believed G4100 on G1519 him. G846
Jesus G2424 answered G611 and G2532 said, G2036 This G3778 voice G5456 came G1096 not G3756 because of G1223 me, G1691 but G235 for G1223 your sakes. G5209 G1223
Believest thou G4100 not G3756 that G3754 I G1473 am G2076 in G1722 the Father, G3962 and G2532 the Father G3962 in G1722 me? G1698 the words G4487 that G3739 I G1473 speak G2980 unto you G5213 I speak G2980 not G3756 of G575 myself: G1683 but G1161 the Father G3962 that dwelleth G3306 in G1722 me, G1698 he G846 doeth G4160 the works. G2041 Believe G4100 me G3427 that G3754 I G1473 am in G1722 the Father, G3962 and G2532 the Father G3962 in G1722 me: G1698 or else G1490 believe G4100 me G3427 for G1223 the very G846 works' G2041 sake. G846
For G1063 all things G3956 are for G1223 your G5209 sakes, G1223 that G2443 the abundant G4121 grace G5485 might G4052 through G1223 the thanksgiving G2169 of many G4119 redound G4052 to G1519 the glory G1391 of God. G2316
These things G5023 have I written G1125 unto you G5213 that believe G4100 on G1519 the name G3686 of the Son G5207 of God; G2316 that G2443 ye may know G1492 that ye G3754 have G2192 eternal G166 life, G2222 and G2532 that G2443 ye may believe G4100 on G1519 the name G3686 of the Son G5207 of God. Commentary on John 11 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 11
In this chapter we have the history of that illustrious miracle which Christ wrought a little before his death-the raising of Lazarus to life, which is recorded only by this evangelist; for the other three confine themselves to what Christ did in Galilee, where he resided most, and scarcely ever carried their history into Jerusalem till the passion-week: whereas John's memoirs relate chiefly to what passed at Jerusalem; this passage therefore was reserved for his pen. Some suggest that, when the other evangelists wrote, Lazarus was alive, and it would not well agree either with his safety or with his humility to have it recorded till now, when it is supposed he was dead. It is more largely recorded than any other of Christ's miracles, not only because there are many circumstances of it so very instructive and the miracle of itself so great a proof of Christ's mission, but because it was an earnest of that which was to be the crowning proof of all-Christ's own resurrection. Here is,
Jhn 11:1-16
We have in these verses,
Jhn 11:17-32
The matter being determined, that Christ will go to Judea, and his disciples with him, they address themselves to their journey; in this journey some circumstances happened which the other evangelists record, as the healing of the blind man at Jericho, and the conversion of Zaccheus. We must not reckon ourselves out of our way, while we are in the way of doing good; nor be so intent upon one good office as to neglect another.
At length, he comes near to Bethany, which is said to be about fifteen furlongs from Jerusalem, about two measured miles, v. 18. Notice is taken of this, that this miracle was in effect wrought in Jerusalem, and so was put to her score. Christ's miracles in Galilee were more numerous, but those in or near Jerusalem were more illustrious; there he healed one that had been diseased thirty-eight years, another that had been blind from his birth, and raised one that had been dead four days. To Bethany Christ came, and observe,

Here we have,
Jhn 11:45-57
We have here an account of the consequences of this glorious miracle, which were as usual; to some it was a savour of life unto life, to others of death unto death.
