38 Jesus G2424 therefore G3767 again G3825 groaning G1690 in G1722 himself G1438 cometh G2064 to G1519 the grave. G3419 G1161 It was G2258 a cave, G4693 and G2532 a stone G3037 lay G1945 upon G1909 it. G846
And G2532 laid G5087 it G846 in G1722 his own G846 new G2537 tomb, G3419 which G3739 he had hewn out G2998 in G1722 the rock: G4073 and G2532 he rolled G4351 a great G3173 stone G3037 to the door G2374 of the sepulchre, G3419 and departed. G565
And G1161 they found G2147 the stone G3037 rolled away G617 from G575 the sepulchre. G3419
And he charged H6680 them, and said H559 unto them, I am to be gathered H622 unto my people: H5971 bury H6912 me with my fathers H1 in the cave H4631 that is in the field H7704 of Ephron H6085 the Hittite, H2850 In the cave H4631 that is in the field H7704 of Machpelah, H4375 which is before H6440 Mamre, H4471 in the land H776 of Canaan, H3667 which Abraham H85 bought H7069 with the field H7704 of Ephron H6085 the Hittite H2850 for a possession H272 of a buryingplace. H6913 There they buried H6912 Abraham H85 and Sarah H8283 his wife; H802 there they buried H6912 Isaac H3327 and Rebekah H7259 his wife; H802 and there I buried H6912 Leah. H3812
And the LORD H3068 said H559 unto him, Go through H5674 the midst H8432 of the city, H5892 through the midst H8432 of Jerusalem, H3389 and set H8427 a mark H8420 upon the foreheads H4696 of the men H582 that sigh H584 and that cry H602 for all the abominations H8441 that be done H6213 in the midst H8432 thereof.
So G1161 they went, G4198 and made G805 the sepulchre G5028 sure, G805 sealing G4972 the stone, G3037 and setting G3326 a watch. G2892
And G2532 he sighed deeply G389 in his G846 spirit, G4151 and saith, G3004 Why G5101 doth G1934 this G3778 generation G1074 seek after G1934 a sign? G4592 verily G281 I say G3004 unto you, G5213 There shall no G1487 sign G4592 be given G1325 unto this G5026 generation. G1074
And G2532 he bought G59 fine linen, G4616 and G2532 took him down, G2507 and wrapped G1750 him G846 in the linen, G4616 and G2532 laid G2698 him G846 in G1722 a sepulchre G3419 which G3739 was G2258 hewn G2998 out of G1537 a rock, G4073 and G2532 rolled G4351 a stone G3037 unto G1909 the door G2374 of the sepulchre. Commentary on John 11 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 11
In this chapter we have the history of that illustrious miracle which Christ wrought a little before his death-the raising of Lazarus to life, which is recorded only by this evangelist; for the other three confine themselves to what Christ did in Galilee, where he resided most, and scarcely ever carried their history into Jerusalem till the passion-week: whereas John's memoirs relate chiefly to what passed at Jerusalem; this passage therefore was reserved for his pen. Some suggest that, when the other evangelists wrote, Lazarus was alive, and it would not well agree either with his safety or with his humility to have it recorded till now, when it is supposed he was dead. It is more largely recorded than any other of Christ's miracles, not only because there are many circumstances of it so very instructive and the miracle of itself so great a proof of Christ's mission, but because it was an earnest of that which was to be the crowning proof of all-Christ's own resurrection. Here is,

We have in these verses,
Jhn 11:17-32
The matter being determined, that Christ will go to Judea, and his disciples with him, they address themselves to their journey; in this journey some circumstances happened which the other evangelists record, as the healing of the blind man at Jericho, and the conversion of Zaccheus. We must not reckon ourselves out of our way, while we are in the way of doing good; nor be so intent upon one good office as to neglect another.
At length, he comes near to Bethany, which is said to be about fifteen furlongs from Jerusalem, about two measured miles, v. 18. Notice is taken of this, that this miracle was in effect wrought in Jerusalem, and so was put to her score. Christ's miracles in Galilee were more numerous, but those in or near Jerusalem were more illustrious; there he healed one that had been diseased thirty-eight years, another that had been blind from his birth, and raised one that had been dead four days. To Bethany Christ came, and observe,

Here we have,
Jhn 11:45-57
We have here an account of the consequences of this glorious miracle, which were as usual; to some it was a savour of life unto life, to others of death unto death.
