45 Then G3767 many G4183 of G1537 the Jews G2453 which G3588 came G2064 to G4314 Mary, G3137 and G2532 had seen G2300 the things which G3739 Jesus G2424 did, G4160 believed G4100 on G1519 him. G846
Now G1161 when G5613 he was G2258 in G1722 Jerusalem G2414 at G1722 the passover, G3957 in G1722 the feast G1859 day, many G4183 believed G4100 in G1519 his G846 name, G3686 when they saw G2334 the miracles G846 G4592 which G3739 he did. G4160
And G2532 many G4183 resorted G2064 unto G4314 him, G846 and G2532 said, G3004 G3754 John G2491 did G4160 no G3303 G3762 miracle: G4592 but G1161 all things G3956 that G3745 John G2491 spake G2036 of G4012 this man G5127 were G2258 true. G227
The Jews G2453 then G3767 which G3588 were G5607 with G3326 her G846 in G1722 the house, G3614 and G2532 comforted G3888 her, G846 when they saw G1492 Mary, G3137 that G3754 she rose up G450 hastily G5030 and G2532 went out, G1831 followed G190 her, G846 saying, G3004 G3754 She goeth G5217 unto G1519 the grave G3419 to G2443 weep G2799 there. G1563
Much G4183 people G3793 of G1537 the Jews G2453 therefore G3767 knew G1097 that G3754 he was G2076 there: G1563 and G2532 they came G2064 not G3756 for G1223 Jesus' G2424 sake only, G3440 but G235 that G2443 they might see G1492 Lazarus G2976 also, G2532 whom G3739 he had raised G1453 from G1537 the dead. G3498 But G1161 the chief priests G749 consulted G1011 that G2443 they might put G615 Lazarus G2976 also G2532 to death; G615 Because G3754 that by reason G1223 of him G846 many G4183 of the Jews G2453 went away, G5217 and G2532 believed G4100 on G1519 Jesus. G2424
The people G3793 therefore G3767 that was G5607 with G3326 him G846 when G3753 he called G5455 Lazarus G2976 out of G1537 his grave, G3419 and G2532 raised G1453 him G846 from G1537 the dead, G3498 bare record. G3140 For this G5124 cause G1223 the people G3793 also G2532 met G5221 him, G846 for that G3754 they heard G191 that G846 he had done G4160 this G5124 miracle. G4592 The Pharisees G5330 therefore G3767 said G2036 among G4314 themselves, G1438 Perceive ye G2334 how G3754 ye prevail G5623 nothing? G3756 G3762 behold, G2396 the world G2889 is gone G565 after G3694 him. G846

Commentary on John 11 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 11
In this chapter we have the history of that illustrious miracle which Christ wrought a little before his death-the raising of Lazarus to life, which is recorded only by this evangelist; for the other three confine themselves to what Christ did in Galilee, where he resided most, and scarcely ever carried their history into Jerusalem till the passion-week: whereas John's memoirs relate chiefly to what passed at Jerusalem; this passage therefore was reserved for his pen. Some suggest that, when the other evangelists wrote, Lazarus was alive, and it would not well agree either with his safety or with his humility to have it recorded till now, when it is supposed he was dead. It is more largely recorded than any other of Christ's miracles, not only because there are many circumstances of it so very instructive and the miracle of itself so great a proof of Christ's mission, but because it was an earnest of that which was to be the crowning proof of all-Christ's own resurrection. Here is,
Jhn 11:1-16
We have in these verses,
Jhn 11:17-32
The matter being determined, that Christ will go to Judea, and his disciples with him, they address themselves to their journey; in this journey some circumstances happened which the other evangelists record, as the healing of the blind man at Jericho, and the conversion of Zaccheus. We must not reckon ourselves out of our way, while we are in the way of doing good; nor be so intent upon one good office as to neglect another.
At length, he comes near to Bethany, which is said to be about fifteen furlongs from Jerusalem, about two measured miles, v. 18. Notice is taken of this, that this miracle was in effect wrought in Jerusalem, and so was put to her score. Christ's miracles in Galilee were more numerous, but those in or near Jerusalem were more illustrious; there he healed one that had been diseased thirty-eight years, another that had been blind from his birth, and raised one that had been dead four days. To Bethany Christ came, and observe,

Here we have,
Jhn 11:45-57
We have here an account of the consequences of this glorious miracle, which were as usual; to some it was a savour of life unto life, to others of death unto death.
