5 Then G3767 Jesus G2424 saith G3004 unto them, G846 Children, G3813 have ye G2192 any G3387 meat? G4371 They answered G611 him, G846 No. G3756
Not G3756 that I speak G3004 in respect G3754 G2596 of want: G5304 for G1063 I G1473 have learned, G3129 in G1722 whatsoever state G3739 I am, G1510 therewith to be G1511 content. G842 G1161 I know G1492 both how to be abased, G5013 and G2532 I know G1492 how to abound: G4052 every where G1722 G3956 and G2532 in G1722 all things G3956 I am instructed G3453 both G2532 to be full G5526 and G2532 to be hungry, G3983 both G2532 to abound G4052 and G2532 to suffer need. G5302 I can do G2480 all things G3956 through G1722 Christ G5547 which G3588 strengtheneth G1743 me. G3165
And G1161 while they G846 yet G2089 believed not G569 for G575 joy, G5479 and G2532 wondered, G2296 he said G2036 unto them, G846 Have ye G2192 here G1759 any G5100 meat? G1034 And G1161 they gave G1929 him G846 a piece G3313 of a broiled G3702 fish, G2486 and G2532 of G575 an honeycomb. G3193 G2781 And G2532 he took G2983 it, and did eat G5315 before G1799 them. G846

Commentary on John 21 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 21
The evangelist seemed to have concluded his history with the foregoing chapter; but (as St. Paul sometimes in his epistles), new matter occurring, he begins again. And in this chapter he mentions one of these many, which was Christ's appearance to some of his disciples at the sea of Tiberias, in which we have an account,
It is strange that any should suppose that this chapter was added by some other hand, when it is expressly said (v. 24) that the disciple whom Jesus loved is he which testifieth of these things.
Jhn 21:1-14
We have here an account of Christ's appearance to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias. Now,

Or this was his third appearance to any considerable number of his disciples together; though he had appeared to Mary, to the women, to the two disciples, and to Cephas, yet he had but twice before this appeared to any company of them together. This is taken notice of,
Jhn 21:15-19
We have here Christ's discourse with Peter after dinner, so much of it as relates to himself, in which,
Jhn 21:20-25
In these verses, we have,
The evangelist, concluding with Amen, thereby sets to his seal, and let us set to ours, an Amen of faith, subscribing to the gospel, that it is true, all true; and an Amen of satisfaction in what is written, as able to make us wise to salvation. Amen; so be it.
