7 Therefore G3767 that G1565 disciple G3101 whom G3739 Jesus G2424 loved G25 saith G3004 unto Peter, G4074 It is G2076 the Lord. G2962 Now G3767 when Simon G4613 Peter G4074 heard G191 that G3754 it was G2076 the Lord, G2962 he girt G1241 his fisher's coat G1903 unto him, (for G1063 he was G2258 naked,) G1131 and G2532 did cast G906 himself G1438 into G1519 the sea. G2281
Now G1161 there was G2258 leaning G345 on G1722 Jesus' G2424 bosom G2859 one G1520 of his G846 disciples, G3101 whom G3739 Jesus G2424 loved. G25
Then G1161 Peter, G4074 turning about, G1994 seeth G991 the disciple G3101 whom G3739 Jesus G2424 loved G25 following; G190 which G3739 also G2532 leaned G377 on G1909 his G846 breast G4738 at G1722 supper, G1173 and G2532 said, G2036 Lord, G2962 which G5101 is he G2076 that betrayeth G3860 thee? G4571
Then G3767 she runneth, G5143 and G2532 cometh G2064 to G4314 Simon G4613 Peter, G4074 and G2532 to G4314 the other G243 disciple, G3101 whom G3739 Jesus G2424 loved, G5368 and G2532 saith G3004 unto them, G846 They have taken away G142 the Lord G2962 out of G1537 the sepulchre, G3419 and G2532 we know G1492 not G3756 where G4226 they have laid G5087 him. G846
When Jesus G2424 therefore G3767 saw G1492 his mother, G3384 and G2532 the disciple G3101 standing by, G3936 whom G3739 he loved, G25 he saith G3004 unto his G846 mother, G3384 Woman, G1135 behold G2400 thy G4675 son! G5207
This is the LORD'S H3068 doing; it is marvellous H6381 in our eyes. H5869
My G3450 brethren, G80 have G2192 not G3361 the faith G4102 of our G2257 Lord G2962 Jesus G2424 Christ, G5547 the Lord of glory, G1391 with G1722 respect of persons. G4382
Many H7227 waters H4325 cannot H3201 quench H3518 love, H160 neither can the floods H5104 drown H7857 it: if a man H376 would give H5414 all the substance H1952 of his house H1004 for love, H160 it would utterly H936 be contemned. H936
And G2532 Thomas G2381 answered G611 and G2532 said G2036 unto him, G846 My G3450 Lord G2962 and G2532 my G3450 God. G2316
For G3754 unto you G5213 is born G5088 this day G4594 in G1722 the city G4172 of David G1138 a Saviour, G4990 which G3739 is G2076 Christ G5547 the Lord. G2962
And G2532 if G1437 any man G5100 say G2036 unto you, G5213 Why G5101 do ye G4160 this? G5124 say ye G2036 that G3754 the Lord G2962 hath G2192 need G5532 of him; G846 and G2532 straightway G2112 he will send G649 him G846 hither. G5602
And G1161 Peter G4074 answered G611 him G846 and said, G2036 Lord, G2962 if G1487 it be G1488 thou, G4771 bid G2753 me G3165 come G2064 unto G4314 thee G4571 on G1909 the water. G5204 And G1161 he said, G2036 Come. G2064 And G2532 when Peter G4074 was come down G2597 out of G575 the ship, G4143 he walked G4043 on G1909 the water, G5204 to go G2064 to G4314 Jesus. G2424

Commentary on John 21 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 21
The evangelist seemed to have concluded his history with the foregoing chapter; but (as St. Paul sometimes in his epistles), new matter occurring, he begins again. He had said that there were many other signs which Jesus did for the proof of his resurrection. And in this chapter he mentions one of these many, which was Christ's appearance to some of his disciples at the sea of Tiberias, in which we have an account,
It is strange that any should suppose that this chapter was added by some other hand, when it is expressly said (v. 24) that the disciple whom Jesus loved is he which testifieth of these things.
Jhn 21:1-14
We have here an account of Christ's appearance to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias. Now,
The evangelist leaves them at dinner, and makes this remark (v. 14): This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself alive to his disciples, or the greater part of them. This is the third day; so some. On the day he rose he appeared five times; the second day was that day seven-night; and this was the third. Or this was his third appearance to any considerable number of his disciples together; though he had appeared to Mary, to the women, to the two disciples, and to Cephas, yet he had but twice before this appeared to any company of them together. This is taken notice of,
Jhn 21:15-19
We have here Christ's discourse with Peter after dinner, so much of it as relates to himself, in which,
Jhn 21:20-25
In these verses, we have,
The evangelist, concluding with Amen, thereby sets to his seal, and let us set to ours, an Amen of faith, subscribing to the gospel, that it is true, all true; and an Amen of satisfaction in what is written, as able to make us wise to salvation. Amen; so be it.
