5 And your threshing H1786 shall reach H5381 unto the vintage, H1210 and the vintage H1210 shall reach H5381 unto the sowing time: H2233 and ye shall eat H398 your bread H3899 to the full, H7648 and dwell H3427 in your land H776 safely. H983
Wherefore ye shall do H6213 my statutes, H2708 and keep H8104 my judgments, H4941 and do H6213 them; and ye shall dwell H3427 in the land H776 in safety. H983 And the land H776 shall yield H5414 her fruit, H6529 and ye shall eat H398 your fill, H7648 and dwell H3427 therein in safety. H983
Say G3004 not G3756 ye, G5210 There G3754 are G2076 yet G2089 four months, G5072 and G2532 then cometh G2064 harvest? G2326 behold, G2400 I say G3004 unto you, G5213 Lift up G1869 your G5216 eyes, G3788 and G2532 look on G2300 the fields; G5561 for G3754 they are G1526 white G3022 already G2235 to G4314 harvest. G2326 And G2532 he that reapeth G2325 receiveth G2983 wages, G3408 and G2532 gathereth G4863 fruit G2590 unto G1519 life G2222 eternal: G166 that G2443 both G2532 he that soweth G4687 and G2532 he that reapeth G2325 may rejoice G5463 together. G3674
Then G5119 saith G3004 he unto his G846 disciples, G3101 The harvest G2326 truly G3303 is plenteous, G4183 but G1161 the labourers G2040 are few; G3641 Pray ye G1189 therefore G3767 the Lord G2962 of the harvest, G2326 that G3704 he will send forth G1544 labourers G2040 into G1519 his G846 harvest. G2326
And I will make H3772 with them a covenant H1285 of peace, H7965 and will cause the evil H7451 beasts H2416 to cease H7673 out of the land: H776 and they shall dwell H3427 safely H983 in the wilderness, H4057 and sleep H3462 in the woods. H3293 H3264 And I will make H5414 them and the places round about H5439 my hill H1389 a blessing; H1293 and I will cause the shower H1653 to come down H3381 in his season; H6256 there shall be showers H1653 of blessing. H1293 And the tree H6086 of the field H7704 shall yield H5414 her fruit, H6529 and the earth H776 shall yield H5414 her increase, H2981 and they shall be safe H983 in their land, H127 and shall know H3045 that I am the LORD, H3068 when I have broken H7665 the bands H4133 of their yoke, H5923 and delivered H5337 them out of the hand H3027 of those that served H5647 themselves of them. And they shall no more be a prey H957 to the heathen, H1471 neither shall the beast H2416 of the land H776 devour H398 them; but they shall dwell H3427 safely, H983 and none shall make them afraid. H2729
He that dwelleth H3427 in the secret H5643 place of the most High H5945 shall abide H3885 under the shadow H6738 of the Almighty. H7706 I will say H559 of the LORD, H3068 He is my refuge H4268 and my fortress: H4686 my God; H430 in him will I trust. H982 Surely he shall deliver H5337 thee from the snare H6341 of the fowler, H3353 and from the noisome H1942 pestilence. H1698 He shall cover H5526 thee with his feathers, H84 and under his wings H3671 shalt thou trust: H2620 his truth H571 shall be thy shield H6793 and buckler. H5507 Thou shalt not be afraid H3372 for the terror H6343 by night; H3915 nor for the arrow H2671 that flieth H5774 by day; H3119 Nor for the pestilence H1698 that walketh H1980 in darkness; H652 nor for the destruction H6986 that wasteth H7736 at noonday. H6672 A thousand H505 shall fall H5307 at thy side, H6654 and ten thousand H7233 at thy right hand; H3225 but it shall not come nigh H5066 thee. Only with thine eyes H5869 shalt thou behold H5027 and see H7200 the reward H8011 of the wicked. H7563 Because thou hast made H7760 the LORD, H3068 which is my refuge, H4268 even the most High, H5945 thy habitation; H4583 There shall no evil H7451 befall H579 thee, neither shall any plague H5061 come nigh H7126 thy dwelling. H168 For he shall give his angels H4397 charge H6680 over thee, to keep H8104 thee in all thy ways. H1870 They shall bear thee up H5375 in their hands, H3709 lest thou dash H5062 thy foot H7272 against a stone. H68 Thou shalt tread H1869 upon the lion H7826 and adder: H6620 the young lion H3715 and the dragon H8577 shalt thou trample under feet. H7429 Because he hath set his love H2836 upon me, therefore will I deliver H6403 him: I will set him on high, H7682 because he hath known H3045 my name. H8034
[[To the chief Musician H5329 for the sons H1121 of Korah, H7141 A Song H7892 upon Alamoth.]] H5961 God H430 is our refuge H4268 and strength, H5797 a very H3966 present H4672 help H5833 in trouble. H6869 Therefore will not we fear, H3372 though the earth H776 be removed, H4171 and though the mountains H2022 be carried H4131 into the midst H3820 of the sea; H3220 Though the waters H4325 thereof roar H1993 and be troubled, H2560 though the mountains H2022 shake H7493 with the swelling H1346 thereof. Selah. H5542 There is a river, H5104 the streams H6388 whereof shall make glad H8055 the city H5892 of God, H430 the holy H6918 place of the tabernacles H4908 of the most High. H5945 God H430 is in the midst H7130 of her; she shall not be moved: H4131 God H430 shall help H5826 her, and that right H6437 early. H1242 The heathen H1471 raged, H1993 the kingdoms H4467 were moved: H4131 he uttered H5414 his voice, H6963 the earth H776 melted. H4127 The LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 is with us; the God H430 of Jacob H3290 is our refuge. H4869 Selah. H5542
And thou shalt be secure, H982 because there is H3426 hope; H8615 yea, thou shalt dig H2658 about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest H7901 in safety. H983 Also thou shalt lie down, H7257 and none shall make thee afraid; H2729 yea, many H7227 shall make suit H2470 unto thee. H6440

Commentary on Leviticus 26 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 26
This chapter is a solemn conclusion of the main body of the levitical law. The precepts that follow in this and the following book either relate to some particular matters or are repetitions and explications of the foregoing institutions. Now this chapter contains a general enforcement of all those laws by promises of reward in case of obedience on the one hand, and threatenings of punishment for disobedience on the other hand, the former to work upon hope, the latter on fear, those two handles of the soul, by which it is taken hold of and managed. Here is,
Lev 26:1-13
Here is,
Lev 26:14-39
After God had set the blessing before them (the life and good which would make them a happy people if they would be obedient), he here sets the curse before them, the death and evil which would make them as miserable if they were disobedient. Let them not think themselves so deeply rooted as that God's power could not ruin them, nor so highly favoured as that his justice would not ruin them if they revolted from him and rebelled against him; no You only have I known, therefore I will punish you soonest and sorest. Amos 3:2. Observe,
Lev 26:40-46
Here the chapter concludes with gracious promises of the return of God's favour to them upon their repentance, that they might not (unless it were their own fault) pine away in their iniquity. Behold, with wonder, the riches of God's mercy to a people that had obstinately stood it out against the judgments of God, and would never think of surrendering till they were reduced to the last extremity. Yet turn to strong-hold, you prisoners of hope, Zec. 9:12. As bad as things are, they may be mended. Yet there is hope in Israel. Observe,
Lastly, These are said to be the laws which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel, v. 46. His communion with his church is kept up by his law. He manifests not only his dominion over them, but his favour to them, by giving them his law; and they manifest not only their holy fear, but their holy love, by the observance of it; and thus it is made between them, rather as a covenant than a law; for he draws with the cords of a man.
