31 In G1722 that G1565 day, G2250 he which G3739 shall be G2071 upon G1909 the housetop, G1430 and G2532 his G846 stuff G4632 in G1722 the house, G3614 let G2597 him not G3361 come down G2597 to take G142 it G846 away: G142 and G2532 he that is in G1722 the field, G68 let him G1994 likewise G3668 not G3361 return G1994 back. G1519 G3694
But G1161 when G3752 ye shall see G1492 the abomination G946 of desolation, G2050 spoken G4483 of by G5259 Daniel G1158 the prophet, G4396 standing G2476 G2476 where G3699 it ought G1163 not, G3756 (let him that readeth G314 understand,) G3539 then G5119 let them G5343 that be in G1722 Judaea G2449 flee G5343 to G1519 the mountains: G3735 And G1161 let him G2597 that is on G1909 the housetop G1430 not G3361 go down G2597 into G1519 the house, G3614 neither G3366 enter G1525 therein, to take G142 any thing G5100 out of G1537 his G846 house: G3614 And G2532 let G1994 him that is G5607 in G1519 the field G68 not G3361 turn G1994 G1519 back G3694 again G1994 for to take up G142 his G846 garment. G2440
Let him which is on G1909 the housetop G1430 not G3361 come down G2597 to take G142 any thing G5100 out of G1537 his G846 house: G3614 G2532 Neither G3361 let him which is in G1722 the field G68 return G1994 back G3694 to take G142 his G846 clothes. G2440 And G1161 woe G3759 unto them that are G2192 with G1722 child, G1064 and G2532 to them that give suck G2337 in G1722 those G1565 days! G2250 But G1161 pray ye G4336 that G3363 your G5216 flight G5437 be G1096 not G3363 in the winter, G5494 neither G3366 on G1722 the sabbath day: G4521 For G1063 then G5119 shall be G2071 great G3173 tribulation, G2347 such as G3634 was G1096 not G3756 since G575 the beginning G746 of the world G2889 to this G2193 time, G3568 no, G3761 nor ever G3364 shall be. G1096
But G235 what things G3748 were G2258 gain G2771 to me, G3427 those G5023 I counted G2233 loss G2209 for G1223 Christ. G5547 Yea G235 doubtless, G3304 and G2532 I count G2233 all things G3956 but loss G2209 for G1511 G1223 the excellency G5242 of the knowledge G1108 of Christ G5547 Jesus G2424 my G3450 Lord: G2962 for G1223 whom G3739 I have suffered the loss G2210 of all things, G3956 and G2532 do count G2233 them G1511 but dung, G4657 that G2443 I may win G2770 Christ, G5547

Commentary on Luke 17 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 17
In this chapter we have,
Luk 17:1-10
We are here taught,
Luk 17:11-19
We have here an account of the cure of ten lepers, which we had not in any other of the evangelists. The leprosy was a disease which the Jews supposed to be inflicted for the punishment of some particular sin, and to be, more than other diseases, a mark of God's displeasure; and therefore Christ, who came to take away sin, and turn away wrath, took particular care to cleanse the lepers that fell in his way. Christ was now in his way to Jerusalem, about the mid-way, where he had little acquaintance in comparison with what he had either at Jerusalem or in Galilee. He was now in the frontier-country, the marches that lay between Samaria and Galilee. He went that road to find out these lepers, and to cure them; for he is found of them that sought him not. Observe,
Luk 17:20-37
We have here a discourse of Christ's concerning the kingdom of God, that is, the kingdom of the Messiah, which was now shortly to be set up, and of which there was great expectation.
